Hi all sifu sifu here,
My apartment got water leaking from the roof especially during heavy rain. Already complaint to management, but they seems slow to find contractor to fix it. It’s been 2 months but they still haven’t repair it. Is there any tribunal for complaint against my apartment management? Or else any solution?

how bad is the leak, like 1 point like in Giant & Tesco or whole ceiling become wet?

is there additional damage because they are slow in response? is your unit still under warranty? are you sure the leak has nothing to do with you or your contractor? are you sure it's nothing to do with the owner/tenant upper floor? because if it's caused by you or upper floor owner whoever caused it has to fix it. management can only do survey to decide who caused the issue.

if damage getting worse whoever responsible will have to fix all the issues, not just the original leak. if your ceiling is wet, they have to change the affected area and restore it like it was before.

Management sent maintenance guy to check and he told me is slab problem. Have to wait another contractor come to repair. My unit is the highest unit. No more warranty because is not new anymore.

Seems like an easy fix to me. The management is just being lazy.

Nothing a hammer, some roof nails and a lot of roofing silicone can't fix.

I’m not sure they let me to find my own contractor to fix it or not

hmm, so did management say who gonna bear the cost? i mean the slab is part of public area right since it's part of the roof and not belong to your unit. so they have to bear the cost to fix all the damage including your ceiling right?

They say will fix it. But now waiting for their contractor to come. Not only my unit, there is few units roof leaking i guess, and they told me to wait for my turn. I don’t know how long i have to wait
