just received s9+.

not much difference from s8+. made me regret.
daytime photos are meh. no difference with my worker's oneplus 5.
not yet try low light.

edge screen not practical as ever. distorts photos, videos and accidental touches.

fingerprint scanner is done right. (not using face recognition - insecure, iris scanner - scared spoil eyes).
so far no lag. need to install more apps and take more photos to further test.

meh.
not much improvement compare to s8+.
samseng getting lazy. no new tech. boring.

there is difference between s2/3/4/5/6/7/8.
but samseng stop innovating on s9.
milk customers to recover note 7 loss i think.

don't talk abt iphones here as it will provoke extreme butthurt. furthermore, iphone is already 2 years ahead.

Just tried with my old S8+ screen protector which came bundled with Starter Kits during previous pre-order. It matches S9+ perfectly. No need to hunt everywhere for screen protector already, yay.

Yes, I think it is usually software, it depend on Samsung how to optimize it.

just would like to report in. officially owned S9+ blue coral 128gb 

bought on last Friday during roadshow along with alcantara black. prefer the red version, too bad not available on that day.

set it up almost 95% as i used to set up previous m10p.

install whitestone dome. too bad not perfect install, accidentally shift a bit to lower side. hopefully when my rhinoshield solid suit arrive it wont lift the glass.

after 48hours of use, i feel this is the best all-rounder Samsung phone. the only aspect kinda let down a bit, the battery life i would say far cry with mate 10p (even when compared to fw 1.32 which not as  good as earlier fw). understand it's 3500mAh vs 4000mAh but would expect with newer chip and optimization, at least should be much lower performance.
other than that, i'm satisfied. in terms of UI, coming  from recent m10p, Samsung UI looks and feel more consistent and polish compared to EMUI 8.

if wanna nitpick, here the list (based on my personal perspective)
1. the power button location on S9+ too high up. S9 and m10p location perfect though.
2. fingerprint location is good but too near with camera and on the smaller size. anyway it's leap and way better than in S8.
3. im wondering why Samsung can't install the S9/S9+ with  better selfie camera as in A8/A8+ 2018 series.

hopefully it's age well throughout my ownership period.

Iphone lost becouse of its smaller RAM size. But in real life you dont open so many games & apps at all at once.

If ur hoping for better batery, dont think its much better.

Ya, Samsung has never been great at power management but they have improved by leaps and bounds compared to devices of old. I think the only flagships with 4000mAh batteries are from Huawei thus far.

Maybe we’ll wait for that 16,000mAh battery Energizer phone

Anyways. a week into it and she's complaining the battery isn't as good as her 8 Plus. I might be getting it back sooner than I thought
