I pre-ordered from Samsung and have gotten 2 emails (1 from SME and 1 from ipay88) for the pre-order.

The battery drain test (probably the first one ever) is out! The S9+ in the video is Exynos variant.




We thought that since S9+ is using the newer chipset, it should have better battery life compared to S8+ due to better efficiency. But no. The result shows that it has almost exact same battery life compared to S8+.

So if you are holding S8+ and considering to change to S9+ by hoping that having better battery life, then forget about it. Camera and speaker are the only significant upgrade.

Looks like Samsung has reached to its bottle neck when it comes to battery technology. There's nothing to improve from the battery optimization. The only way to improve is to increase the battery capacity. Hopefully they will consider it in the upcomg Note 9, and S10/Note 10 next year.

Do review your S9 when you have it.

The demo unit probably will appear in the stores one or two days before the launch event. But you can only buy it started from 9th March.

But if my memory serves me right, he didn't appear in Note 8 thread when it was released. But thanks to S9, now he is quite active in the Note 8 thread as well.

I still remember he did send me some gay photos in PM when I was posting some thing in S8 thread last year. Not sure if it was him since different username.
