My Silky Terrier,he already 9 months old. His name is muffin, a really naughty boy, like to run here and there, bite things. It know some tricks such as sit, jump, fetch, row over and so on. The pet shop not honest, when early bought it back already got skin problem and eye problem. I had spend around 1k for the operation and medicine. Sign!!!! Anyway, it is still a lovely dog, happy join this family!!!

Not say wont drop any hair.. EVERY DOG SHEDS.. some dogs have double coat, inner coat and outer coat, so this kinda dog shed more, they shed around 3 to 4 times a year, just like my current JRT and Labrador Retriever. For Silky Terriers they only have a single coat, and their fur is long, so when it sheds it wont be everywhere and too obvious. To be honest, AFAIK every dog sheds, just how frequent only, as far as I remember, Chinese Crested Dog dont shed at all. tongue.gif

Every dog shed.... hahahah.... but the amount is base on the coat. Shih tzus shed but not in clumps of fur.... labs and GRs shed alot for they are water dogs with oily waterproof fur.... poodles also shed but very very minimal, the fur is curled so it tends to stick and connect together, resulting in clean floors. Some short haired dogs shed more.... pugs, chihuahuas, boxers.... they shed but not too heavily.

To test shedding problem, wear a black shirt(if the dog is light coloured) and carry or hug it.... if you can find fur on you, means it really does shed but the amount you find will let you know if it is a heavy shedder or not. If dark coloured dogs, use a white shirt for this.

Some dogs do not have shedding season, while some do and it is also based on temperature and environment.

The only dog that doesn't shed would be the Xolo.... the hairless dog from mexico.
