Ohhhh, this cinema campaign.. rclxms.gif

Huh? 330 complimentary tickets per offer day?
Damn, like that so kiasu need to book ticket on midnight 12am first to avoid finish quota of 330 tickets per day? shakehead.gif

I don’t think this is call kaisu at all, is just that you can enjoy cheaper price but enjoying with the same value.

In order the enjoy it, some homework you need to be done right such as knowing the T&C.

Early or late you also want to buy, I will trend this as fun work instead of kaisu, sometimes it’s not because of the amount, is the satisfaction.

Simply use once for nominal amount to avoid month charge. Like a payment of bill of Rm1.
Wanted to get ticket and apparently it has run out...

i'm sorry for this noob question. I will went to oversea next week. Do I still can get OTP from UOB for any trans while I at Oversea.? Do i need to on roaming? Thanks
*
Weeks ago I was facing this question as well.

Now I’m at oversea and I have tried just to get sms for OTP and it’s work.

No roaming on is necessary, what need to do is just change back your MY SIM card (if you have change local sim)
Secondly, go to Cellular under cellular data, and you off it too.

Wait for a while, local telco name will be appear and you are safe to do any transaction and OTP will send to your phone.

Make sure all the way roaming is off

Nope. Roaming is needed, if no roaming you won't receive SMS at all. You should see "R" beside your signal bar. Data roaming can be turned off though. Roaming is not just data roaming.

I have no issue receiving SMS whenever I'm in overseas (sometimes up to months), so don't worry about it at all. Just ensure roaming is activated before you leave the country. pacatbesar

Hmm... such way is work for me, because before I onboard I went to Digi centre and seek for their advice how to received sms without using data.

They advice me such way and it’s work as I changed MY SIM card to do something.
So far no issued to received SMS/OTP hmm.gif

I didn’t see any “R” beside my signal bar but only local telco name is appear from “no service” after 1 min I guess

Roaming must turn on from digi side, what u mean is phone data roaming, that one can be off, to receive call and SMS, data is not needed
*
QUOTE(avinlim @ Jul 9 2019, 08:48 AM)
ROAMING won't cost you anything. It make sure your phone function properly (able to receive/send sms, call and use data)

But remember DO NOT ever turn on DATA 3G/4G and receive call. Then you should be save from bill shock.

Unless your line(telco) come with roaming date package/call.
*
QUOTE(fruitie @ Jul 9 2019, 09:10 AM)
Roaming must be turned on. If not, you can't even see local telco, that's the meaning of roaming. Connected to local telco with your home SIM. What you meant was data roaming which can be turned off.

Thanks for your sharing !! smile.gif

Now is much more clear about this, just checked my setting in Digi apps, I guess the roaming turn on should be referring this right.

Sorry for OT

I see thanks all. Seems like a good deal to me. But I am afraid I might fall into the debt trap if I choose to do so. But the additional cash flow is tempting especially when I can use it to reduce my housing loan interest.

Bear in mind that, for UOB Balance Transfer, there will be new account number generated.

Unlike other banks such as Maybank / Aeon

Last time so easy to achieve, spent everything on JomPay also took days to finish.
Nevertheless, I have been spending on 1st since I got the card when it was first introduced in Sept 2016. Already a habit. biggrin.gif

I have both VI and PME, for overseas and local spending, which is better? It looks the same to me, just a bit of difference.
*
The UOB World card offers bonus points for local spending, provided the requirements are met.

Between the two cards, I would choose the Visa Infinite for both overseas and local spending. I prefer the Visa Infinite for its wider lounge access, 5x points on dining, and the option to waive the annual fee when minimum spending requirements is fulfilled.

Currently, I have three cards for my daily use.

Tested a transaction at Mercato, and although it's not in the list, but it still qualified for 5x points.

No, Malaysia issued. Mine was before they changed from Visa to Master

Don't have supp card. Gonna call them in abit and lodge a report. I checked now, the promo code is back  doh.gif
*
Was wondering about this too around 7:30am this morning, the code showed fully redeemed, but now available.

However, I noticed the promo code seem not working for EV car selections (level 3), maybe it’s limited to level 1 only

Really? I only noticed the passenger took the LRT to T1 and redeemed it there, not directly from T2.
