Guys, my area doesn't have Samsung Service center. So if I deliver my Note 8 to the state that have Samsung Service center... how long would it take for me to get back my phone?

If I spend some time to go to the state that have Samsung Service center.. Can they fix or replace the thing that I want for my Note 8?

based on previous user experience that i read from FB group, Samsung Service Centre will fix your phone on the spot. it can be settle in one day or less, depending on the problems. nod.gif

for phone body replacement, it will take more time i believe. my friend got same issue like you. SC estimate repair in 2 weeks. if you are lucky, they might be do a replacement set 1 to 1 (this is rarely happened)
*
I see. So you think I should clear my phone before I sending it to SC?

No need to clear up your phone. just do full backup to ur samsung cloud account and google account, for peace of mind.  laugh.gif

Thank you for the suggestion.

But damn I am still in dilemma whether I should send it to SC thru delivery or go to the SC on my own (which is far).

SC thru delivery? how does it work?
*
The shop where I bought note 8 said that they can help me to deliver to Samsung Center if i wanted.

QUOTE(Dio Escobar @ Feb 21 2018, 03:27 PM)
eh you can change the phone body at samsung sc if the paint chipped? is it covered under samsung warranty too?
*
I just called them. They said I need to send my unit to the center to investigate whether it was manufacture defect or it was my fault. If it is manufacture defect, they said they will change the body for me.

Hmmmm... make sense.

However it will take 2 hours trip to reach the Samsung Service center though from where I stayed. Haha.

The way i see it, S series is the year introductory flagship, and the Note is the final pr0duct of the year.. when they launch the S series, they sort of display the concept and design of the year.. so note series always the superior flagship.. so it could be true that eventually there will be just one flagship model, definitely the Note series will continue as the s-pen has been something unique to samsung flagship.. also as we can see samsung it working hard to boost up other series m9del suh as the A model..  so when S series is no more, the other series will step up as the secondary choice of samsung product line
*
When there is no S series, I hope that they can pump full resources and effort on developing future Note series.

But then, it is samsung, so I think most likely that they will do a new series with different name or focus more on J and A series further.

Apparently, J series is really popular in my town. Almost everyone I have encountered was using J series.

Any comments on bixby?

Meanwhile, samsung phones still have google assistant apps rite?

Bixby is nice. It helped me to find certain setting option and app very fast without went thru the whole setting and app just to find one thing.

Didn't use it. After reading the conditions,  must give up privacy.

Do you even have Samsung phone to make that kind of silly statement?

I mean I don't remember that iPhone 8 or X had Bixby function.

AND guys, ignore some dumb trolls. Someone obviously still milking her mama when some of us here started using iphone,, but act like he knows everything.

Every phone has its pros & cons. Note 8 is not perfect, but its the 1st android phone that actually worthy of making me to change from iphone & yes i do love iphone even now (except for the notch & iphone x pricing) i'm using a note 8.

Bixby still an infant. Just a few months old baby. Wait till it grows up. Unlike Siri, still immature after so many years...what a pity AI. Never once really using it except trying it a few times just to know what it is all about.

*
You know what is hilarious? I remembered a post where iphone faboys mocking Bixby for being a beta version when their 6+ years old Siri cannot do what a beta Bixby can do.

For those who were still remembered my post about my Midnight Black Note 8 had the colour peeled off at bottom...

Today I took 2 hours trip away from my town just to went Samsung Service Center at other state in hoping that they will change my Note 8 body to a new midnight black and I have succeed. It took them approximately 1 hour to finish the job for me.

Initially I thought I would have to left my Note 8 at the center for few days and had them to deliver it back to me thru postal once they have replaced the body, so their efficiency to solve this matter so quickly (and it is free) blew me away.

Now I am happy that my precious Note 8 is back to its original beauty. The downside is I have to buy a new screen protector for my Note 8 though.
