OK, you guys got me tempted to give Samsung Browser a try for now.

So from your experience, does Samsung Browser saves more battery consumption than Chrome or is it not THAT noticeable?

Had been browsing with Samsung browser today and got me wonder, does it has Incognito Mode??

If yes, where? I can't find it.

I am having a hard time to get used to Samsung Browser interface over Chrome, but I hope my venture into Samsung Browser will pay off in the future.

Had switched to Samsung Browser from Chrome for a few weeks, and disabled Chrome in the meantime...and damn, I can feel that the battery consumption is a lot better with Samsung Browser than using on Chrome. I can browse longer than usual.

It was tough at first to navigate Samsung Browser but after a few weeks, I can feel that Samsung Browser has a lot of feature and interface that I actually like it more.

The only downside is it seems that I can't view the facebook embedded video from Lowyat forum with Samsung Browser, and no quick access to news or latest story every time you open Chrome.

Thank you for those who recommend me to use Samsung Browser for my Note 8.

I still haven't updated my Note 8. So, is the new version got patched up or it is still unstable version?

If you are referring to Oreo, it is a stable version released since April and it received 1 update after. So far, so good.

but be prepared to accept the new style of notification counts LOL

we already accepted that

the only way to fix it is to use 3rd party launcher like nova

if you use stock then you gotta learn to accept the new way of notification counts received

Is it really that bad that you need to point it out? rclxub.gif

There are few times that Note 8 asked me to reenter the password/pin after I used the fingerprint feature to unlock my phone for most of the times.

Is it normal? Is there any way to disable it?

Usually you need to use pin/password to unlock your phone if you have finger print unlock as your preferred method after you restart your phone or if you have not used/unlocked your phone for more than 24 hours. Otherwise, the finger print unlock should work as intended.

Btw, why don't you use Iris unlock method? It is far better, faster and more accurate vs the finger print unlock method.

Fingerprint works faster for me. Take phone out, use my left hand index finger on the sensor and the phone is unlocked.

The fingerprint works. It is just sometimes my phone demands me to reenter password after the certain time usage of finger print.

Guys I have problem with Note 8. It seems my edge screen is disappeared from my home page despite that I have Edge Screen setting turned ON.

What just happened?

EDIT: ahhh.. Found the edge panel. It turned out you can move the edge panel up and down... and I just have accidentally moved it down to the corner of my note 8.

By the way, do you guys know any app that allows you to see how much your charger charging your phone? I just wasted 40 minutes to charge 1% battery for my note 8 which I probably didn't put my charging cable correctly or something.

The app is called Galaxy Charging Current or GCC by abmantis.

Have used it on every Samsung I owned.

Something weird about the galaxy current app. Why am I getting a negative reading (for e.g. -209mh) or very low reading for the charging? Is it normal? What is the recommended reading for Note 8?

I am glad that they didn't put the notch in Note 9 like other Android phones did.
