actually i am quite disappointed with the flare happens with note 8 camera, no way to avoid
based on the research results, it seems like no solution and some are commented that it can be solved by software camera if samsung want to solve it tried the methods given in the below in pro mode, the flare is still there, except if i tune the brightness to very dark then only it will go away https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/Galaxy-...are/td-p/182403 |

QUOTE(WaCKy-Angel @ Jul 27 2018, 11:17 AM) anyone of u using liquid tempered glass like this? with this type of protector, when your screen has scratch, you can't tell that is it on the protector on screenhttps://www.lazada.com.my/products/samsung-...s481989484.html ayam bought curved tempered glass (not full glue) after install its not so sensitive on the corners and its not sticky enough like full glue. after 2 days using already removed it >.< you can't remove the protector and replace with a new one that scratch free if the scratches are really on the protector, don't have proof show that you can remove the scratch by re-apply the same protector so may end up, you choose to change the phone screen |

QUOTE(Necromancer @ Jul 31 2018, 10:08 AM) Someone mentioned having 60% ++ battery left by 9 PM. How do you guys even do it? Are you running on 720 display without body sensors on? No bluetooth? No location tracking? No data? well, i don't turn on wifi and data at the same time..On an average working day, I charge my phone twice (minimum) / thrice (max). Mostly on mobile data unless I'm back home. My GPS are on all the time. Bluetooth on if I'm syncing to speakers/car, display is maxed out to 1440. Vibration is turned off but I'm using video lockscreen. Even then, the difference in battery life shouldn't be THAT drastic. Sooooo does my battery require diagnosis or replacement? I thought it was normal for the note phones to have pretty average battery lives. Never expected much since Note 1. from 8am to 6pm, i use data only and after that wifi turn off both before 12am when go to sleep i don't turn on bluetooth and location unless i want to use it i use AOD but when i am in front of my pc, means during working hours, i will use web wechat and whatsapp so i don't need to use the phone, then turn the phone face down to dim the AOD and 80% of the time don't need to check the phone i am using vibration and iris, FHD most of the times, i have more than 70% left for SOT, i found out that unless you are on the screen and using for longer time, then it is good SOT if not just quick on and off for many times, the SOT is actually bad |

QUOTE(Necromancer @ Jul 31 2018, 11:52 AM) Well yeah, I don't have both wifi and data turned on at the same time too. It's either one. To make matters worse, I don't even have IRIS on. Already using package disabler. Although I have AOD turned on, it's set to sleep from 12am - 8am so I'm really quite salty over the fact that you're getting more out of your battery than me. Hahaha. It's not like I can't live with this but when I'm travelling, I get paranoid, even bring 2 powerbanks with me sometimes because of heavy camera usage. my AOD is on from 8.20am to 11.10pmAnother question, is Sync turned on or off? Edge lighting enabled? sync are all turn off, i don't like auto sync, even auto update is turn off edge lighting is on screen brightness set to 45%, not auto brightness |

my own experience for reference when phone screen is off, means i am not doing anything with the phone
1) if AOD is always displaying, drop 1% per 2 hours 2) if data is on, i am always at same location (example in the office), drop 1% per hour 3) if data is on, and i am moving to different locations in the transport, drop min 2% or more per hour (should be due to the telco signal strength at different location and also switching between different signal towers) you guys can also try to monitor your phone battery consumption |

QUOTE(TongCN @ Aug 10 2018, 03:35 PM) Wonder can we use the S Pen from Note 9 in Note 8? The only thing from the release that catch my interest. QUOTE(Xaser_3 @ Aug 10 2018, 04:54 PM) I doubt so, as every Note variants S-pen is slightly different. I wished that it could work with Note 8 too. even the size is same and you can insert it into the n8 spen slot, use as usual like n8but n8 can't charge the n9 spen battery, so the remote control will not work i am so wish that n9 spen can work the same as n9 in n8 |

QUOTE(xcxa23 @ Aug 21 2018, 10:45 AM) Well, depending on their usage terms, my note 8 battery consumption is also around 30-40% per day only, so it is actually can last me 2 daysWith 1%/h, days = 48% (my S9+ draining 1% per h) Still got 52% for usage With S9+, I can achieve 2day no problem but sot most probably around 3 to 4h but i am prefer to charge it everyday i have low SOT, because i am facing pc for most of the time in whole day, whatever app that can use in PC, i will login on PC, such as whatsapp, wechat, fb so the main battery drainer for my note 8 is the LTE data connection |
