Guys, I try to use USB OTG for this RN5 but somehow it didn't detect anything at all. Tried with pendrive and mouse both just didn't detect anything. Is my RN5 faulty?

after u bought only notice got different model. one the redmi note 5 pro and two redmi note 5 AI edition.

Ok, if you've launch the camera app and then you leave it at background and run other apps, when u switch back to camera app it will lag, sometimes can't function, but after I restart the app then no problem.

And also after update to latest OTA update the headsets enhancement feature always crash, so when u plugged in the headset the playback got noise

Just got myself the 3gb version from physical Mi Store.

This is my first ever Mi phone in my life.

First impression, I am impressed.

Coming from S7 edge, for this price, this is hands down the best value for money phone you can get at this price range.

From my first few hours of setting up, I love MIUI (though i changed to Nova launcher), superb battery life, great screen, and good camera.

And I don't think this will be my last Mi device.

Is it different using global rom ? I might want flash to global rom later.. need some advice.

Honestly I prefer Chinese ROM than Global ROM but too bad I can't read Chinese since most of the native Apps are still in Chinese even we set English as system language. Chinese ROM has more features, you will know what are the differences once you flashed to Global ROM. Haha.

In terms of camera, between this and nova 2i,which one is better? Thinking to get redmi note 5 but still cannot decide which one is better.

Does it multitask well? As in running a few heavy games,  waze/Google map, Apple music, Reddit, browser without any lag while switching and reloading

Just want to ask, does anybody know how much the cost to repair/replace cracked screen of this phone? (cracked at outer screen only. The touch function and the display on the screen are working just fine). Been using this phone just merely 11 days before this unwanted xcident happened (dropped out from my pocket at around knee height...yup u read it right - just KNEE height [around 55-58 cm from the ground]...poor screen built quality from Xiaomi for this phone???    )
