He is working in Japan, and his salary in yen is pretty much average starting salary there i believe, ~240k yen. Cost of living there is way higher than in malaysia.

He also mentioned being stationed in malaysia will give him extra money which most company offer as well. For eg my company gives an additional 0.7-2.4 times my salary if i were to work outside malaysia, depends on whichh country usually based on hardship. Though for a malaysias to be stationed in malaysia and being paid as expat would be a dream job definitely lol

I think the only reason acceptable to anyone for u to quit a company you have been working only 4 month are if u discovered that the company are doing something illegal and against your core principles. Other than that, itll only look bad on you, might shows that u are weak, not loyal, complainers etc. and 4 month is hardly enough to demand a pay rise as well, unless u didnt get any pay rise when u joined your current company from prevous job

Working 6am to 9pm is crazy for me.
In the end, it depends on how much changes u ahve to do vs your current work time and lifestyle, and whether the extra money worth making all those changes. I am single and i will probably choose 2 lol

That 12k is because of overtime? Quite high for 4 years experience. But ive seen similar case, and yeah work hour almost double the normal work hour, 75-80, so that salary kinda justify the workload, scale down to normal hour, tll be around 6-7k, which is still high for 4 years exp.
