2. Is semiconductor even a good industry to work in to get high salary, compared to other industries like sales and software engineering?
3. I work in this company for 3 years + so far, should I hop more in order to increase my salary?
4. Anyone from semiconductor industry who has very good salary can share how to gain more? Is it by hopping more oftenly?
5. Is it partly because of my location is in Melaka and hence the salary is low? Who else is from Penang / KL semiconductor industry and do you mind to share your salary information here?

The exam is excruciating indeed.
After working will spend at least one hour to study at home, weekend allocate at least 8 hours on studying for exams since I joined the industry. So life is basically work and exam with little social life. To make it worse, I am not a smart person and failed the same exam a few times.

Imagine i am close to 30 already but still need to take exam. Many people quit taking exam once they have kids... it is very tiring.

which salary would you take monthly, 22k MYR to 10k SGD  ? assuming benefits and career aspiration are the same.

So obviously everyone in this company is just working for the salary,there is no any sort of benefit or bonus is this company,whats keeping the staff in this company is small company,lesser people,lesser drama and politic.whats your opinion on this?

No such thing as too high. If your skills are in demand, and you can really do your job well, there is always companies out there that are willing to pay.

Additional income: Contracted as Academic Staff/Teaching Faculty of the 3 medical schools in Singapore: NUS, DUKE-NUS & Imperial College-NTU - I am paid a stipend monthly (not a lot, only about $2,500/month) and on top of that, I get to claim honorarium payments whenever I am tasked to examine the students (on top of the normal tutorials/lectures that I am expected to conduct, as part of the appointment).
