QUOTE(TamaUser @ Mar 5 2021, 01:15 PM)
I have spent 5 months looking for a Legal position in Corporate sector till now. Please advise if there is any mistake to my approach in securing a position.

Education: LLB (2nd Upper)
Experience: 2.5 years conveyancing (legal firm)+1.5 years consultant (consulting firm)
Asking salary: RM4,000~RM4,500/month
Location: KL/Selangor

I have made efforts perfecting the approach in finding a job but still fail to secure one. Any advice? Is my asking salary non-conforming to the market rate?

Your asking salary sounds quite low with the years of experience you have under your belt.

Have you got CLP/BPTC?

High chances of onverting to permanent? Or this is by choice bro? Any risk or not being under a contract tenure?
*
It's just how this firm works that positions are given out by contract. Normally an annual contract and sometimes some may have a 2 years contract.

During my time here there were 2 of them not getting their contract renewed. I guess this will be the biggest risk but it does not happen that often and hopefully enough notice is given before a decision is made.

What is the size of your firm?

In terms of number of lawyers it is within the top 10 in the country.

It will be interesting to know who are the top 10 legal firms in this country for future lawyers' knowledge. Just like other sectors but hardly mentioned about legal firms.

The top 10 I have in mind is in terms of number of lawyers.

I got it from here

Size of firm does not always correspond with the capabilities though.
