Sure been considering it for a while..need to brush up my resume then..in terms of skillset I am a bit confident as here we get to learn all things for our work
I guess at the age of 32, it's still not late to jump?
*
Haha, I am still <30 so experience-wise, I think you are few years ahead.
But yes, I think it's never too late. Or maybe put it this way: even if you don't jump, you'll still be growing older.
Of course, do your homework, weigh the pros and cons yourself, since you're from engineering background I guess you do this quite often biggrin.gif

p/s: I've never hopped before too so my words could be naive, take them lightly. tongue.gif

I work 2 jobs.

One is my dads dream, the other is my own hobby. Maybe this can serve as a cautionary tale for others who might be pressured to study hard by their parent OR to study something they dislike.

First Job
Job Title : Dentist
Job Desciption : Dentist
Age : 29
Years spent in company : 1
Company : Own Company
Industry : Dental
Tenure : 1.5 year
Employment Level : Director/Dentist in charge
Experience before joining (years) : 5 years
Highest paper qualification/ education background : Bachelor of Dental Surgery
Location : KL
Average Working Hours Per Week (incl lunch hours): 60 Office hours, and maybe extra 10 admin stuff

Monetary Payout
Around 15-20K Monthly

Benefits (where relevant) :
Non cause self employed clinic

Second Job
Job Title : Web Hosting Company owner
Job Desciption : Host sites
Age : 29
Years spent in company : 4 years
Company : Own company
Industry : IT
Tenure : 4 years
Employment Level : Own company
Experience before joining (years) :
Highest paper qualification/ education background : Zero. Since I studied dentistry, and was science stream, I learnt linux server management on my free time
Location : KL
Average Working Hours Per Week (incl lunch hours): 10-20ish hours a week, mostly everything is automated, answer around 5-10 support tickets per day, which usually takes  a few minutes to maybe up to 30 mins per ticket to resolve.

Monetary Payout
12-16K RM Monthly ( 3-4K USD/Mo )

So I'm now stuck with 2 jobs, working almost 100 hours a week, and I can't drop either that easily ..

Sometimes wish didn't study dentistry, and just did IT..
*
Not sure I should be jealous of the near 30k pay or be fortunate that I don't have 100 hours of work....
What do you have in mind for plan?

Maybe he meant the UK bachelor's? where 4 years gets you a "masters degree".
*
I heard that a lot. What's the difference between standard master's?

I studied hospitality - shit degree, realized too late and my fresh grad salary is 1.9k  sweat.gif
Landed software consulting role due to the tech company is hiring for the consultant role for the product that my hotel was using. However I'm also underpaid for years in that tech company before jumping twice to this current job.
