Nothing wrong with staying if you enjoy your company, perhaps you can use this offer and get a counter as well. But bear in mind, you are likely losing out on a pretty healthy salary bump.

Whether its worth it will depend on how you view the current vs new company.

That is a pretty good offer considering that it is more than 30% jump from your current salary.

Increment and bonus are completely different things to look at compared vs work style and culture of the company. Some people tend to want a greater emphasis on the work style and culture of the company whilst others purely for money. As you can see that the Dembeee who asked was about not wanting to move to the new company because of bad reviews online even though he/she is getting a sizeable increase in pay. This of course leads me to assume that culture and work is a lot more important vs work.

I would second Kelangketerusa in that not all reviews tend to show the "real" work culture and besides just asking the interviewer as well, find out others who work at the company (see if you have friends or acquaintances) or message some folks via LinkedIn to learn more about it as well.

No, it means you have to look at the larger theme of the reviews and such as well as the manager that you are going to work with.

Culture is something the manager can't change entirely, so if the culture of the company is toxic in nature, it will set the tone from top down.

But a good manager can help you thrive in a bad environment and help you grow, a bad manager will derail and stop your progress in a good organisation.[COLOR=red]

When people say it's a bad organisation, they usually refer to your department or maybe division. Rarely an entire organisation is bad, else they would have long ran out of talents and ran out of business.

I can only use myself as an example, I've been in multiple organisation, and never once I have issues with higher ups saying no to bonus or increment because they are bad organisation. There are good years and there are bad years yes, but it's all relative to the performance which is clear to all.

You are more likely to face issue from your manager not willing to defend and push for your growth, rather than a CEO using his time to purposely cut your bonus or increment.

I just got a job offer RM7500.
Working on pretty much the same thing. But I am considering to decline the offer due to I am comfortable working with current co, and there is a lot more to learn. What do you guys think? Should i take the risk and jump?
