saw some comment from net f31fd is better than f40fd in term of manual mode and high ISO noise control.

not sure bout 40fd, but 31fd got a "highly recommended" from dpreview.com:

yeap, F31fd is better. get it before it disappear off the shelve

I've been comparing both cameras as well. After seeing many sample shots from both cameras, I notice F40fd has much more Super CCD noise artifacts even at ISO100. So, in terms of ISO/noise performance, F31fd wins.

But F40fd has less purple fringing problem. Outdoor shots also has less blown hightlights. Colours outdoor also look a bit better than F31fd. F40fd can use face detection in 'M' mode but F31fd cannot.

F40fd don't have AP/SP function and can only take 300 shots per charge. F31fd can take up to 580 shots per charge!

F40fd is slimmer and has wider viewing angle LCD.

So it's up to your taste. For me, i would go for F31fd because i'm 'allergic' to picture noise.

lonewolf is right, i got it all the way from KLIA. RM1150 with 1GB

last 2 units, grabbed both and no more already.

I just received PM from vladimir, he still got 1 unit left, fast fast contact him.

so how the performance of the digicam ?

china website mentioned exactly the same as F40fd only upgrade to 9MP.

So far no comparison of picture yet.

err i mean yr digicam fujifilm f31fd , i read tru website they recommend it , how bout u ? yr own experience ? im thinking of getting that too but need more opinion .

I owned F10 previously and compare to F31fd, F31fd of course is much more better.

1. cleaner ISO1600 (in fact, is best in compact camera range)
2. intelligent Flash - prevent the flash wash out your object.
3. face detection - when you want ppl to take photo for you, just turn this on and your face sure sharp sharp.
4. longer bettery life - 580 shots (F10 only 500)

Faster go and get before too late.

what about the purple fringing ? is that a major problem ?

i wouldn't mind if i were u. u only see it in bright bright place. that problem is blown out of proportion. fyi, f31fd is the best digicam now.

You called all the shops until the one in KLIA to find one?

Now I believe even Fuji Malaysia has no more stock for it. Otherwise you wouldn't have to travel to KLIA.

F47 9MP camera, in no way it will be as good as F31FD in terms of noise as it is still sharing the same sensors. It was a necessary release due to the megapixels race. BUT... we all know higher pixels count on the same tiny sensor will lead to more noise

whoever still wants to get the F31 and wouldnt mind waiting for orders, pm me, i'll give you the staff's number who would order for you

F31fd price drop already. only RM1120 with free 1gb xD~! quick grab for now~~!
