My usual practice is to charge till full and unplug before I go to bed, used to charge it overnight but heard it might adversely affect the battery health in the long term. No plans for fast chargers at the moment, the idea is to wait and see how expensive AirPower will be first

Phone gets very hot while fast charging, as in really really hot.
Freak out, quickly unplug & dare not to try again. Haha

it's not really an issue per se, but I am not comfortable with the heat.

y11 is PD2.0, y10 is PD3.0, minor difference.

What I don't get is, if the Y-11 is a newer model than Y-10, why is the Y-10 more expensive by RM10?

Ahh, OK,  now I get it. Still thinking of getting one since my old iPad charger (10W and not 12W) takes close to two hours to charge my iPhone X from 40% to 100%. Unbearably slow. But I think I read somewhere that even with this USB C PD charger, the improvement won't be too drastic.

Same here. My usual practice is to charge till full, unplug and go to bed knowing full well that it’ll last me till the end of next day.
I think it’s overpriced, honestly. But then again, all Apple products are.

Just got mine yesterday Aukey PA-Y10 & Apple cable. The cable is indeed thicker than normal size cable (hence for better transfer/charge rate).

Tried my 1st time fast charging last night. It took 1hr 40min from 14% to 100%. The 1st 30min, the phone is a bit hot(like you playing high video resolution game etc) which i expected, afterwards the temp back to normal (maybe normal charging rate mode).

Then after unplug, sleep, woke up this morning, batt down to 97% after 6hrs.

both offer not same functionality, and cannot say that it is older model and expensive

PA-Y10, combine output is 56.5W
USB-C Output: (PDO) 5V 3A, 9V 3A, 12V 3A, 15V 3A, 20V 2.3A; (PPS) 3V–16V 3A
USB Output: 5V 2.1A

PA-Y11, combine output is 48W
USB-C Output (Power Delivery): 5V 3A, 9V 3A, 12V 2.5A, 15V 2A, 20V 1.5A
USB-A Output (Quick Charge 3.0): 5V 3A, 9V 2A, 12V 1.5A

PA-Y11 dont have PPS, but with QC, why an iPhone user needs QC 
PA-Y10 have higher output for USB PD @ 20V 2.3A => 46W + 5V 2.1A => 10.5W, total 56.5W
but PA-Y11 USB PD @20V 1.5A => 30W + 12V 1.5A => 18W, total 48W

if you have laptop can charge with USB PD, you will see PA-Y10 more useful, because some laptop can takes in 45W, where PA-Y11 will not gives enough current to laptop through USB PD which max out @ 30W

Actually the in first FB post to announce this clearance they didn't put the quantity, so I guess that one went viral and everyone thought there would be plenty of stocks, ha ha... The second FB post with the quantity (as you said 10-20 max of each model), everyone conveniently ignored, ha ha ha....

after using the phone for 3 days, i noticed that the battery is a lot better than my previous phone, S7 Edge.

glad that i made the jump. the last iphone that i used was the iphone 3G.
