check the quantum's letter, compare the statement date vs VS' statement date.

quick check: from the quantum letter, does the statement date = VS' statement date?

from my observations, the new card (quantum) doesnt get statement-ed together with VS', so it will skip the partial cycle and will be statement-ed in the following month (full cycle).

call CS to find out.

combined* statement, meaning 1 statement with VS + Quantum Visa + Quantum Mastercard.

cashback definitely separate because each card is different.


*note: iirc, i read someone having quantum diff statement date than VS. not sure if he/she receives separate statement due to diff statement dates. afaik, my quantum all same date as VS, everything combined statement.

paywave is a trademark for Visa. definitely cannot be associated together with Mastercard.

for mastercard, mostly known as generic term as wave/contactless, but i havent seen it printed on the card. the most is the "wave/signal" icon printed on the card.

well, it depends on the terminal's acceptance.


i always use quantum mastercard at CBTL for RM10 offer on Fri/Sat/Sun. the terminal is Citibank-branded, but can use mastercard wave/contactless without issue.

for other merchants, i didnt try.

aside from getting PBB VS, get multiple Quantum Mastercard supplementary cards with split statement. easier to apply supp, but tedious to manage unbilled transactions (need access to supp cardholder's PBe); unless you only need to view monthly eStatement (attached via email).

well, "a lot of cash rebate" means not much if you're getting 1% on the rate, right?

assuming no issues, 1 week approval + 1 week delivery. standard timeline.
