@ PJ - Billy G demo-ed that at the last MS keynote address. I recognise the Sheraton logo in the still above, which means they've gone on to commercialise it since then. The video at popular mechanics site does make the Surface look impressive.

@ redbull - it goes beyond the traditional touch screen if you watch the video in full. The surface itself isn't touch-sensitive. There are cameras inside the table that captures and relays data when someone places or drags a finger, hand or any other object on or across the tabletop screen.

And finally, I thought Apple patented the finger-resizing thingy for their iPhone?

You mean u're trying to register for Xbox Live? I recently did it for a friend and experienced the same thing. The process is a rather lengthy one requiring numerous steps. Many a times, you get this message when you either time-out or laggy internet connection. Could be due to either your internet line or perhaps the XBL server being very busy. Suggest you try again at a later time. Eventually, you will get through. Good luck.

@ logic - if your bro said the console can play p1rat3d, that means your console has been modded. If so, I'd suggest you don't even think of signing up for XBL now until you figure out which path you want to take (unmod it or keep it modded). Registering online as it is now will get your console banned forever. That means no XBL for you with that console ... ever (assuming it's not too late and you've not already been banned). If you wish to stay original all the way, then i'd suggest you go get the console unmodded first and then try registering for XBL then.

Added on May 31, 2007, 1:26 pmCheck the error code as explained by mayatsan several times. if it's not the ban code, then you're still safe and have not been banned. As i said, it could just be that your connection timed-out and you couldn't connect to the xbl server, in which case, you're one lucky star.

if the xbl server detects your console as modded, your console gets banned forever and there's nothing you can do to un-ban it. life sucks i know. learn from it.

It's suppose to stop the download when you play online games or the game requires you to have an active connection online. The download auto-stops to minimise lag. This was in place even before the latest dashboard update.

I believe it should work on Asian sets because the card that I bought was the asian version (i.e. the card has all the usual asian languages printed on the card i.e. korean, chinese, english)

Yep, that's why I've been on prepaid cards since day 1. Currently using the Halo 3 12+1 card.

The free Arcade game applies to both Silver and Gold members. Does that mean if my console has 3 user profiles (one for each family member), then I'd get 3 games?
