You need base data first. Min is 2GB for RM12. Then can add other data plans like 20GB youtube for RM7.
How does it tracks? Just leave that problems to technical peoples behind the system. But it can track youtube usage from YOUTUBE APPS of any devices/tvs/android car players/etc. From browser, frankly I'm not sure. Most likely cannot. Maybe can ask yoodo.

yoodo.. you can just subscribe sms only for rm3/month (no data, no voice).
xox : initial purchase around rm50 (or rm60 if seller charge for the simcard), it can lasts for 2 years. After that, you can just renew the validity duration (no data/sms/voice) for rm25/year.

Other telcos, I dont know.

On another telco, users must make 200 minutes of call per month to activate/keep their volte ..

is your kids using your phone to access the internet or you turn your phone into hotspot/thethering?
If you turn your phone into a hotspot, there's no telco in Malaysia that provides unlimited hotspot data. Unlimited data is applicable for own device usage only. If you buy unlimited data from yoodo, you're given 6GB of data for hotspot usage. If you need more than that (hotspot quota), you need to pay extra.

hopefully, i can still continue to enjoy the RM5/month voice plan.. I used that plan for my old parent .. my parent dont use sms or data.. Just making calls only.

I wish so too.. but, they can change tnc anytime, and the tranfer from yoodo to celcomdigi is just started.
So, they dont have time yet to think how to move ex-yoodo into the same plan as others.
So, I assume yoodo plan wont last that long.

No. It's RM25/year only for xox now.. Those RM90 numbers you read are the old welcome package whereby you get validity for 2years ++. Now, no more such long validity. Welcome package is still there but for discounted data,voice and sms (you get this cheap price for voice, sms or data only once).
