The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) has received a total of 871 units of Kawasaki motorcycles to further strengthen their motorcycle patrol unit known as Unit Rondaan Bermotosikal (URB). These models consists of the Kawasaki Z250 and KLX250 scramblers. Out of the 871 Kawasaki bikes received, 200 of these babies are the Kawasaki KLX250 scrambler bikes that’ll assist our officers to guard the borders of Thailand. Being very light, powerful and versatile on any road conditions, the KLX250 is said to be perfect in patrolling crime-prone areas with hills and narrow roads.

i suspect because they need to bundle in the order together with the scrambler for border/jungle patrol.

but if want cheaper kawas, can always go for Z250SL

The original deal in 2013 between Kawasaki Malaysia and PDRM was 5,000 units. Kawasaki managed to convince the police to secure the business even though the traffic division not happy about it. The traffic boys preferred Honda (for a reason, if u know what mean). But the blue uniform decided to go for Kawasaki (for a reason, again if u know what I mean) and when they found out that Kawasaki 250 bikes were not up to par, they quietly purchase Honda 250 some time in 2016. This is reason why Kawasaki supplies the z250, instead of the Ninja 250. For that better riding position.

first, what is VGM?

2nd, what's the reason?

3rd, i thought traffic already used Ninja 250?

4th, the only offering Honda has here for the 250cc is the 250R which is so underpowered (i read). Same goes to their scrambler which is CRF250. Too pricey for that range of power

5th, I would say Ninja 250 is more to a sport touring so dont think riding position is a problem
