it depends on luck. luck here is if checked by the airline staff before going go gate.

some will just ask to weight the luggage - this means u good to go
some will put/insert the luggage into the "size" holder - this u wont pass.

seems the size is not so much diff with normal 20" luggage then usually it will just check the weight.
