QUOTE(adele123 @ Nov 26 2022, 10:51 PM) another question, if anyone flying on AA will arrive at 1030pm. you guys planning to stay in city or at airport. taxi fares are quite crazy in tokyo if you miss the train, which ends 12am. i will be going next year and i plan to stay at a nearby airport hotel such as first cabin for the first night, take a cab to go there and will cost around rm50? i book air bnb on the second day so no need to rush

QUOTE(adele123 @ Dec 11 2022, 09:26 PM) First cabin is capsule hotel. I'm not familiar but I'm sure big luggages are not capsule hotel friendly. I booked toyoko inn Haneda airport. They have free shuttle bus from airport to their hotel but the last shuttle bus is probably 12am+ at most. You can Google their website. I use toyoko inn slot in Japan in both my trips to Japan. Just great value for money and clean hotel. I see, hopefully the flight wont delay and arrive there at 1 - 2 am as i saw got one AA flight yesterday reached there at around 2am. Btw, whats the price for one night? TBH im still thinking whether or not want to stay at capsule hotel on the first night. If the flight really delay, might as well i just stay at the airport until 5am and go straight to Airbnb.

QUOTE(adele123 @ Dec 12 2022, 08:10 AM) I have a friend who departed last friday. They receive notification the day before they flew off, flight departure delayed from 2pm+ to 6pm+. Cause them lots of heart attack also. Stay capsule, or airbnb etc, it's money vs comfort. I old liao, this kind of torture, cannot already. Even when younger, i remember doing that, very torturing also. Plus you need to remember, not all airports open 24hours. You may be asked to leave. When i took airasia 2weeks+ back, were on time. Just maybe 20 to 30mins delayed. Still managed. Ah, that's good to know. How was your trip btw? Is it very crowded on Nov?

QUOTE(vivace11 @ Jun 27 2023, 10:08 PM) Hi sifus, I booked my AirAsia flight ticket KUL-KIX in November and it is stated that "Flight is subject to obtaining government approval". Did some reading and some other places said it usually turns out to be fine. Just some paperwork to be done. Has anyone here saw this before too? Thanks Yes, usually should be fine and have nothing to worry about unless airasia email u otherwise. I bought in advanced last year to haneda also show this. I think most airlines if you buy in advanced also got this kind of warning because again it has to depend on their government approval. According to someone on reddit: Generally it means they intend to begin service and far enough along in the process that they’re confident they’ll get approval to fly so they begin selling tickets. But they can’t legally fly until both countries governments’ sign off. In the event they don’t get approval in time for the flight and it gets canceled, surely American will most likely refund your fare without question. The only hiccup you’ll have is if you’ve booked non-refundable lodging or incurred any other travel expenses. This post has been edited by HumanExtinction: Aug 17 2023, 04:01 PM
