Quick question guys. I have been flying AirAsia X and the standard meal as in the Value Pack bought together with the ticket would be Pak Naseer's nasi lemak. Me and my family are tired of the same meal served. Any ways to change the meal to something else? I have tried before and I ended up buying extra meals for the flight. doh.gif

Under Manage My Booking, from there you can untick your nasi lemak and choose something else~

Dont have that option. It says Non Vegetarian Value Pack Meal. If I select something else, I will be charged for it.

nope you cant..Value Pack meal is pre-selected by the airline and subject to change without notice.

When during booking, you can either choose Non-vegeterian or vegeterian meal type..As for what is the actual meal come with it, you cant choose..yes i know it sucks, but u have to deal with it. it's Airasia..they will try any way just to take ur money lol.

I online chatted them this afternoon. Yup cant change for preordered meals in the value pack which you bought along with the tickets. And it makes not sense to not buy the value pack as 20kg check in luggage + seat choosing already cost more than the value pack. doh.gif My family members are complaining already they dont want nasi lemak again but its the same thing they serve over and over on all flights to Japan, Australia, Korea etc. doh.gif

yup..food is all the same across carrier code for example AAX (D7) will serve all same food despite which route you flying..

lol for some people they don't need baggage for every single guest ma or they don't mind on the seat selection..then of course value pack will not be useful for them.

If you travel in a group, or even in two best is to buy seat selection to avoid being seperated. For AirAsia X flights, I think we need to buy luggage as I dont think I can fit all my stuff into a carry on luggage below 7 kgs. laugh.gif

Btw, Im starting to dread over Pak Naseer's nasi lemak already now. sweat.gif

Flight D7.
Anyone knows how can i pre-book other food other than on the website?
Because I want to pre-book Rice + Beef with Black Sauce (seriously recommended) but I can't find it while adding meal into my bookings.
But by looking at the Menu book (on flight) has it.
Or is it only available on flight?

just found this from searching, seems like a good suggestion. thanks!

Does anyone notice that there is less flights per day now for AA compared to before and the price is more expensive?

The flight from Kuala Terengganu to KL now costs around RM300 plus for next day and only 3 time slot for a day, compared to 6 or 7 time slots to choose from last time.

I booked Air Asia flight ticket. But my Air Asia BIG does not reflect the points.
I already come back from my trip, but still does not reflect.
Anyone came across this ?

There's already an Air Asia thread. In future kindly do a quick search before opening new threads.

Thank you.

You wont earn any points from LOW FARE & PROMO FARE. But you still could earn Sector Points which can upgrade your member status tier, from Red to Gold to Plat. to Black!

Even the FAQ from the website say you only wont earn any point at PROMO FARE~ but TIPU one!

Yup, i came across it and contacted them, apparently its because my flight was booked under promo fare. mad.gif

just a few points to take note:
1) did you enter your BIG ID during booking? If no, then u have to claim manually.
2) It will only be processed after 5 days and within 60 days from departure date. But to be save, you can contact them to check if its under processing.
3) Is this a promo fare? If yes then its not untitled for points crediting (yep, its AirAsia tongue.gif )

ok for example,
i want to book 3 person (2 adult + 1 child)

i only need 2 meal , 40 KG luggage (split by 2 adult , 20kg each) + 3 seats selection + 3 insurance

which way will be cheaper?

1) Value pack , 3 meal , 60kg (split by 20kg each person) + 3 seats selection + 3 insurance

OR

1) Manual select , 2 meals , 40kg ( split by 20kg each person ) + 3 seats + 3 insurance?

if tthats the case then manual select might be cheaper. u can try the two options..

because value pack is only useful when everyone guest needs its individual baggage allowance and meal, which in ur case ur kid doesnt need that.
