Totalled my mavic air today sad.gif Seeking for advice.

Bought it only 3 months ago. Flew less than 20 times.

Just now was the first time I flew it in:
1. urban area - damansara
2. night time

Before I take off, set RTH, confirmed it's on GPS mode. So I launched it.
When it flew up to ~100m high, suddenly errors appear on my phone screen saying something like "transmission signal lost", "can't transmit image", "vision sensor not functioning etc".

Then it just lost control and flew towards a office building. Crashed onto the wall, dropped down from ~4 storeys high.

Surprisingly, body is still intact, lost 3 legs. I am still able to connect it to DJI assistant and retrieve the logs.

---

Perhaps I am wrong, my understanding is that without sufficient lighting, vision sensors will not work, which means that automatic obstacles avoidance would not work. But it doesn't cause the drone to lost control and fly towards somewhere without control right?

Currently all I have is the .DAT file gotten from Assistant App and a broken drone. What options do I have? Thank you.

Hey guys,

I just got my drone for 1.5 months and just recently i noticed this

user posted image

It appears the motor shaft is sunken but the propellers are at correct height. Also the motor felt slightly tighter compared to other motors. I've no idea when this happened, does anyone had this problem before?

Anyone know what we should do if our phone suddenly can't connect to the drone via RC? RC shows green light along with the backlight (green) but still can't get the phone connected. Camera also not connected (done multiple reconnection methods but it's not working). Once I connect other phones, it can be used.

It is normal that it has been restricted to fly at maximum 500m altitude only due to limitations that are either built-in to their firmware, unless u 'bypass' its firmware.

Nice one bro! Btw, how do we bring our drone in a plane? Can bring via hand luggage or need to check in with other bigger luggage? Japan is not strict with drone flying? thanks bro.

No problem carry with hand luggage. For checked-in baggage, u need to transfer the batteries to ur hand luggage. As for flying restriction, u need to check for the no-fly zone of the place u visit.

I always keep my drones and batteries in hand luggage, so far no issue when traveling to Japan and China.
As for flying drone in Japan, as I know, Tokyo and Osaka ban drones in all public parks.
Do check dronelawjapan.com for more info.
