Out of curiosity, why do you want to convert to black? Is it the zero wastage? After one month on black, as well as normal prepaid, that's the only benefit I see.  Savings is less on black.

I am on the fence now.... 1 month ago.. I am all for black...

Now waiting for a sms command to switch to prepaid...wink.gif

The advantage of onexox black :

1. No need to subscribe to data plan to use season pass quota and carry forward upto 100GB max.
2. Minutes is deducted using 30 seconds block (prepaid is 1 minute block)

IMHO, if need more than 4GB monthly and/or more than 60 minutes usage monthly then onexox black can stretch your data/voice usage longer. Only that one must pay monthly commitment with onexox black.

If you use much much less then prepaid is better. Long validity with reasonable data/call rate with season pass.

For onexox prepaid, the 10GB season pass quota follows account validity (ie. SP expires when account expired) ...

So, with onexox prepaid, you pay upfront RM60 (simpack + SP FAT10) ... First month, you get free 10GB to use then 2nd month onwards you can subscribe to 1GB/30days data plan and the system will automatically deduct the quota from your existing SP balance first. If you do not finish the 1GB within the 30 days period then the balance is forfeited upon renewal of the same 1GB/30days plan. 10GB SP will last you 10 months and the cost of 1GB = RM5 ...

For a 10 month period with 1GB/month data quota, the actual cost for onexox prepaid is RM50 while the actual cost for onexox black is RM100.

To decide which is more suitable really depends on one's requirement and usage pattern.

"you pay upfront RM60 (simpack + SP FAT10)"
Mean that i need buy new sim pack? Only last 10 months and the cost of 1GB = RM5 ... ?
*
Yes, new simpack is RM10. Another RM50 is for reload right after registration. After reloading, you subscribe to SP FAT10 to get immediate 28 months validity + 10GB SP + 10GB free data plan for 1 month.

The 10GB Season Pass costs RM50 to subscribe so, 1GB = RM5 ... ok ? If not enough SP data, you can also buy some more during happy hour or from the daily season pass.

Whenever you topup, your validity will be extended ... ex: if you topup another RM50 to buy data during happy hour, your validity will also be extended by another 50 days ... yes, any new validity you acquire is added to the end of existing validity ...

If you almost reach 28 months then you can topup RM25 to buy 1 year validity @ RM25 ... if you want more then you can buy more validity to add to existing validity ...

So, you probably will ask if can change from black to prepaid ? .... Yes, you can ... but I was told that one will get zero validity + zero SP balances (all forfeited). So I guess its best to get a new simpack since changing black to prepaid then one will have to start from zero ......

As I mentioned previously, it all depends on one's usage pattern and requirements ....

hi all, thinking of switching over to Black, but wanted to understand more first:

Q1a. how much do I need to pay for a starter pack if I am going for B10?
Q1b. how long is the default validity from the starter pack?
Q1c. and every month how much do I need to pay?

Q2a. for B10, I will get 1GB of data per month, so if I cannot finish the 1GB of data, it will be carried forward to the following month until I finish it?
Q2b. Do I need to pay anything extra other than the amount from Q1?

Q3a. for B10, if I finish the 1GB of data before the cycle date, can I top up the data again?
Q3b. if yes, what are the options for the top up?
*
A1a. Pay RM10 for B10 ... that's it ... I was told that's the total B10 sign-up payment ...
A1b. no validity ... it's like postpaid
A1c. monthly bill RM10 minimum

A2a. All black quota can carry forward ... If you have balance then it will bring forward to next month
A2b. No if you use less than monthly 1GB + 20 minutes. Yes if you need more data and/or minutes

A3a. Add more data quota by purchasing season pass
A3b. Topup or payment using normal topup channel ie: dealer, 7-11, epay, petrol station, etc

Go read some more ... onexox have 2 different product:
1- onexox prepaid = long validity + topup only when required
2- onexox black = hybrid postpaid/prepaid + monthly commitment

Hi, is it can change plan from Black plan to onexox normal plan?
I mean in the future if I less used data, can change back to normal oneXOX plan?
*
I was told that you can change from black to prepaid by making request through CS @ 12273 ... but you start with zero balances. All credit and quota balance will be forfeited.

Ok, sorry... Perhaps I overlook already... tongue.gif
But what about the account validity? I guess it won't be back to 28 months validity, am I right?
*
Nope, you don't get 28 months validity ... I believe it will reset to 30days validity if not mistaken ...

Do you know how the MNP process works for OneXOX?
I'm based in Singapore and tried to do the MNP from Maxis to UMobile before, I never received the MNP sms once I get back to SG  sweat.gif
Wonder if there's any way to port out without waiting in Malaysia for the sms which might take days
*
MNP to OneXOX is the same with any other telco. Submit your mnp request through a dealer or on the online store.

The thing is that the mnp sms confirmation uses telco's internal system number ex: Maxis 20025 or Celcom 28882 ... so that the sms may be able to receive but you may not be able to reply ... maybe depends on the roaming partner ... I was told of a case whereby someone on a working trip to Thailand was able to reply the mnp request from U to onexox ... YMMV ...

Thanks for the answers. I want to chip in a question.

Q4. How to cancel/terminate OneXOX Black?
*
I was told that the only way to directly terminate onexox black is to fill up the termination request form and submit to any onexox black dealer or service centre.

There are also two indirect way:
1. convert to onexox prepaid and leave it to expire (I believe in 90 days)
2. mnp out to another telco but do not activate and leave it to expire (should be between 14 to 30 days)

........
oneXOX Black > other telco (such as DiGi, maxis) > oneXOX prepaid.

Will this can done to get 28 months validity? I understand there is cooling period after switch to another telco, but OK for it as long as to get 28 months validity.

Any suggestions?
*
I believe this can work ..... so far the ones I've heard/seen those who port out from onexox and then later came back got their 28 months validity was using other telco issued numbers (012, 013, 014 etc) ... YMMV ...

Just started using Black since early this month. Totally worth it as I am using B10 package for Grab Driver App. However, i need top up  extra and the plan will automatically deduct RM10 every month? Or do i need to top up and manually subscribe every month? I am confused with this part.
*
biggrin.gif
You can pay monthly when the bill arrives or you can just reload enough for six months and relax (every month auto deduct for bill).

No need to subscribe to anything if the monthly allocation suffice (1GB + 20 minutes) ... maybe if you need more data or minutes then you may want to reload to buy during happy hour ...

Yes you can. Call CS to make the request. Bear in mind that all credit and SP balance will be forfeited. Don't forget to confirm with CS how many days validity they will give when change to prepaid.

Hi, currently using umobile. Can i know how long does it take to port into XOX? and what is the best plan or most worth it plan in XOX? Thanks.
*
Is your umobile prepaid or postpaid? It depends on what you need.

If you want prepaid then onexox prepaid mnp gives long validity and use season pass to save money .... if you want postpaid then check out B39plus20 with unlimited calls ...

ini game plan macam yes....

1. so i hoot prepaid rm10
2. then pay another rm50 lock in gooding package
3. spend...

why need change to b10? eat me RM10 / mo wor
*
I was told that the B10 was originally intended for sub-lines. Somehere along the line B10 became useful for low usage users and in my fren's case as family car hotspot. After some consideration, he did precisely the above. He got a prepaid + sp fat10m (10gb+333m) then immediately change to B10. His hotspot requirement is roughly 5GB monhtly, so he buys happy hour deals to topup ...

The difference is in how data is consumed. For prepaid, you must activate a data plan to get internet access. For black, internet access is available until black data sp counter depleted ..... so unused black data is carried forward and not forfeited.

So, it all depends on what you need it for.

ic...correct me if im wrong

1. i hoot RM10 sim card, then another RM30 or RM50 starting package with data and calls....
2. i got 28 month call line validity
3. one month later, data plan gg (one month only?), i can't browse fb....LIAOOOO
4. sign up for b10, let xox eat RM10 every month

like that?

p/s: my phone mostly standby receive call only....and occasional check email...estimate data usage <2gb per month
*
You should stick with onexox prepaid ... get sp fat10m (10gb+333minutes) and 28 months validity ... if you activate 1GB data plan then your 10GB season pass will last 10 months ... if 2GB data plan then it will last 5 months ... please read up on how Season Pass works and stay happy ...

Onexox black is like postpaid ... have mobthly bills ... no 28 months validity ... so, onexox black may not be suitable for you ...

just mnp to black on yesterday, but my phone model doesn't support esim

since black is quite some time in the market, well known with its burnproof
but in all its t&c, q&a, discussions, just mentioned that max accumulate quota for data is 100gb
how about the max quota for call minutes and sms? or no limit?
*
Only data have maximum limit of 100GB quota. I was told it was a requirement limit set by MNO celcom.

You can carry forward unlimited amount of minutes and sms.
