I dont have music degree also,all self taught,just keep doing what you doing until you're good enough then someone would notice.
Try find some senior musician on facebook,give them your portfolio,if you're good enough sure they will find you. Can try start from commercial song,thats where i started.
Its not an easy path,but just keep going you'll be successful 1 day.
