I was wondering how can I earn extra money by producing music. I don't have a degree in music production and I'm just an amateur producer that makes beats in my free time.
[I]How can I put my beats to good use and earn money at the same time? I was thinking about a way to produce music for an event or something. Any advice?
Thanks

I've done it.
As mentioned, jingles is one. Diversify: learn sound design, audio restoration, VO cleanups, understanding video production and work as part of the team (majoring in audio) - this means not just as a separate process but an integrated team from the beginning.
It's got a lot to do with entrepreneurship. You're selling something that people can download illegally online for free, and those who need it done legally are in a market where people want unrealistic quality at zero cost. This is why I think people in the music business are one of the best business people around. See Richard Branson or our very own Tony Fernandes

I dont have music degree also, all self taught, just keep doing what you doing until you're good enough then someone would notice. Try find some senior musician on facebook, give them your portfolio,if you're good enough sure they will find you. Can try start from commercial song, thats where i started. Its not an easy path, but just keep going you'll be successful 1 day.
