Hi tplcaik, If you want to sell ur lappy (BenQ R55) do let me know! I thought u might 1 to upgrade ur lappy to S41 although u just bought it few month ago. I stay in PG too

Sigh, just came back from Low Yat and still no signs of the Gemstone. Ask alot of them and they very blur blur wan.....

Besides the Gemstone and the BenQ S41, is there anything similar to those specs for about 5k also? Will need one by 2nd week of June.

Hey I need some recommendations from all the experts here.
I'm looking for a laptop thats:
- Of reputable name like Dell, HP, Sony and Toshiba. Basically brands that are common in Malaysia.
- Priced between RM 5000-RM 5500
-  About 2.0 Ghz, minimum 1 Gig of RAM
- DVD ROM/RW
- Comfortable to lug around once a while.
- 15' or above for the LCD
- Wifi and a port for the DSL cable

It should be able to run Photoshop, iTunes, Firefox with a few tabs opened, MSN Messenger and a P2P programme with minimal lag.

I think since this is for your son the specs aren't too important, as long as its average, but do try to find a laptop with build quality though since it's going to be 2nd hand.
