Cut out a girl with a lot of fluffy hair from the background.
It's very hard to select the hair properly.
What is your tool?

Personally, I use Topaz Remask, and I and happy with the result. rclxms.gif
Photoshop sucks in this kind of job.

depends on the picture but my tool of choice would be magic wand with varying tolerance.

I can only say it is not the program sucks but you aren't good enough with the program to do that.
Select -> Colour range could be one of the ways.
And also content aware erasing.
If you don't need that specific person being used, there are many arch viz websites have freebies for you to download cut out people.

When I need to remove a background or perform any other photo manipulations I always use online photo editing service. The price is low enough and the quality is very good. It is much easier than to use any photo editing software and the result is much better. This is a great service photza.com.

+1, ones own knowledge about Photoshop usage is the only limitation Photoshop have.

Yeah, Topaz Remask is user-friendly software. Before I have experienced about Topaz Remask but now I'm working with Illustrator. I never known about Illustrator but when I'm working with clipping path service company, they recommend me to use Illustrator. The company trained me well and my extreme effort I'm a professional Illustrator user. In point of my view, Illustrator one of the most popular and user-friendly graphic design tools. Using the Illustrator, You can easily retouch the photos. I'm sure you and anyone who loves graphics design, You and they can't ignore Illustrator.

If you never use Illustrator, Please use the Illustrator tools. Thanks thumbup.gif

I always make this with photoshop. If you need good quality it should be done manually.

Photoshop works well enough for me. It can be challenging depending on the specific photo (I'm no expert) but it's doable.
