If you want to study in Malaysia, please do note that MUET is a must. You must have MUET even if already have IELTS/TOEFL.

Nope. I got a Band 5 in 2012, barely scratching the border.

Please also do note that there was a format change sometime in 2011 or 2012. Back then the paper was easy, but after the format (which included dropping summary writing and objective questions in listening paper), it became much tougher and the score was much lower.

i thought my english is excellent but when i took muet exam during my final years of architecture degree i could only get band 4. it's pretty humbling. band 6 is not impossible but make sure you are well-prepared.
