Currently seem your passenger having hard time climbing on xmax. With additional box, wouldn't it be more difficult.. Tight jeans pants and all.

Guess you're expecting the pillion to swing their legs across from the back? Luckily my pillion is my 10 year old son, he climbs first to his seat before I get to the bike. Haven't try with wifey yet

My friend hit his leg at the pointy end of the back seat handle bar when he didn't properly swing his leg over. damn it hurts just by watching.. Even if you try to climb using the footrest, i still think it's not easy. The seat is wide too..

What about bila turun? I am visualizing it will be easier if the biker get off the bike first before the pillion. However, I also understand the bike is very heavy. Anyone can share ur experiece? As I may be getting one XMAX and may have to fetch my 60 yo mom.

Then straighten and stabilise bike with both feet. Inform pillion to climb on board. And you ride safely and happily ever after. so love the Honda X-Adv

As for getting off the bike, do you think extending the bike stand first and then biker get off the bike and then give a hand to the pillion to get off is a good idea? Sorry for asking too much, I am used to kapcai only.

Sorry for asking too much, I am used to kapcai only. I think using the side stand as a backup when getting off the scooter is a good idea. Just in case to avoid "jatuh bodoh" situation. But also, looking the the seat, I'm not sure of your 60 y.o. mom can slide down easily from the pillion to the rider's seat.

TQ bro. ya I can afford to jatuh bodoh but not my mom I think as long as I am off the bike and the bike itself is stable on the ground, I can help her with the sliding and landing. One more ques, I understand the seat is quite high, I am 170cm, will there be any challenge extending the side stand while me and a pillion still on the bike?

I still finding it quite hard to be in stable position whenever someone try to climb aboard. Because of the position of foot rest is bit high, usually someone has to push themself up a bit in order to climb. Maybe pull you a bit too while in the process. That's when you have to stand very firm to avoid goyang. Side stand might help. It takes time to get familiar with the position. Then to push it down is rather easy. I used to do it while stopping at traffic light, waiting kids or just to shut down engine n fast parking. I'm 176cm. Unless your mom is 185cm and athletic build, she can easily swing her legs over the back seat

Let your pillion know to sit still and not move around to cause instability until you've stopped completely. However, if you're tip toe-ing like in this picture, then I think it's better make sure left foot is fully flat on the ground and your right foot is dangling. More stability and even footing like picture below.
