My hse has been provided by developer cctvs
However, I have been told by the internet provider that I will need to additionally subscribe to public IP for me to remotely view the cctv over internet. This is despite I already have a broadband active connection.
Anyone has clues about this?
Thank you

Yeah, you'll need a public IP. Are you sure you don't have one already? Who is your internet provider? What broadband active connection do you already have?

Is it not possible to use private IP for cctv?
I rber using wireless IP Aztech camera with unifi and can view remotely without problem

It's possible. Some DVRs call this P2P. Look at the DVR's config. See if there's something called P2P, some have a QR code which you scan with the smartphone app. You don't need a public IP for this. A 3rd party server is used to establish a connection from your phone to the DVR. Technically it's called a UDP hole punch. Some call it reverse port forwarding which is a totally made-up term but hey, as long as it works. What brand is your DVR?.

Your Aztech is using the same thing.

Here's a video on Youtube. Hopefully your DVR has this feature.

So if I have a p2p dvr or ip wireless camera, I can still remotely view my camera despite my home network is provided with private IP?

Yes, it will work private ip. Well, most likely. Since your Aztech works, I'd say the answer would tend towards yes.

How much does Symphonet charge for a dynamic public ip? You told them that Maxis & TM provides it on request for free?
