My hse has been provided by developer cctvs
However, I have been told by the internet provider that I will need to additionally subscribe to public IP for me to remotely view the cctv over internet. This is despite I already have a broadband active connection.
Anyone has clues about this?
Thank you
Normal streamyx or unifi are able to view ur dvr or ip camera,However, I have been told by the internet provider that I will need to additionally subscribe to public IP for me to remotely view the cctv over internet. This is despite I already have a broadband active connection.

1) At ur router do port forwarding for your dvr/ip cam http port (refer dvr/ip cam setting, u might need to change to other number if default is port 80 to something like 8001)
2) Register www.no-ip.com (this will help u keep track of your streamyx/unifi ip), create dns name eg. katmai81.noip.net
3) If u at local then use http://(dvr ip):8001 at IE to view
4) If u at outside use http://katmai81.noip.net:8001 at IE to view
