wanted to know more in detail what is it like working there? and what is it staying in the staff quarters in genting highlands is like?

to be honest i've already went through the first interview session but needed to know more in detail.. anyone working there? or gone through this? besides i've been looking all over the net for Genting Highlands forums or working environment but i can't seem to find any.. can anyone help me and tell me whats it like working there? or how are the benefits and staff quarters are? really need an advise for this.

if you are talking about working in genting highland (instead of the HQ office in KL) then the environment is not that good.

From what I heard, basic necessity is there but you will be bored like hell. You can work there for a couple of years and save a lot of money because you have nowhere to spent the money.

If you are talking about working in genting's office at menara genting then it's quite bad environment. For one, they don't pay their staff well. The turnover is quite high. Most people got there to learn something and then leave.

from my experience in working part time in first world last time..the pay is good, but the environment of the worker quarters aren't really in good condition. Don't expect fancyful and homely setting....and theft cases are common to.... and the 2 rooms share a toilet...unless ur staying in the family quarters.

if u work in genting heighland, dun ever thin kto spend ur money in the casino. u will be ban from entering the casino for 2 years from that day u quit.

how much 1st world pay??

depends on what job u take...i work as a waiter there....i took as many OT as i can...so it would add up to about rm 70-80 per day.... but my life was really sleep, wake up, eat, work, eat, bathe, sleep, and repeat...

if u work in casino u'll have a easier life, but less healthy due to the ahem ahem smoke....

btw..the food in genting resident quarters is good..espec the claypot chicken rice ...i miss it..the best i tasted so far ...too bad i cant enter anymore

really no life on the highland. But u can play around with your colleagues esp girls. They got nothing to do except have fun together-gether.

wat qualification 2 work there??haha...pmr??spm???

depends on what job ur applying lor.....
minimum is PMR..
if u go for casino job need to go interview, they will test ur maths skills as well as test ur palm see will sweat or not...
if ur going for housekeeping/waitress job....usually u'll get it right away if there's vacancy.

oh yeah...transport to genting can be claimed back, sometimes they might even come and fetch u if got a lot of staff coming from ur area...

working in genting sucks big time. unless you have no problem working in shifts and eating the same thing over and over again....the working environment depends on what position and your job. if you are working in casino as a croupier, then try and get monte carlo casino... it's smoke free..

btw, for food, you won't have any problem. got alot of nice food at a very cheap price...

i worked there many many years back, after my spm as a waiter in first world plaza. life there is..err...okla, working life is boring anyway.

advantages are that can safe money up there, and believe me, ur skin will get white and fair in no time. also will be able to meet a lot of chicks

i'm not sure about other jobs. but jobs in the casino has 2 days leave every fortnight. hope these info can help you

yaya from rc 1...corner stall heheh...i always ask her to add wine for me one...make me warm before i go to sleep...true food is not a problem. most food inside rc is a lot nicer than the retail food outside (After all they are cooked by experienced ppl...not by "us" in retail fast food outlets in genting ).

WOw thanks for all the advice, and also the benefits you guys share.. by the way.. whats the differences between a family quaters and staff quaters?? i saw someone mention about that?? do they provide Family quaters for new staff or just for married people?

Family means...well..can stay family there la..its specially meant for husband and wife...(meaning male and female stay together).

staff quarters are usually unisex quarters....one rsc block is usually either all male or female.....

wah seprated aprtment for guys and gals mer. no fun ler.

usually both husband and wife stay in family quarters, though u can still apply if ur spouse dont stay in genting...

For forumers who said that its genting is very boring..its just that u guys didn't know whr to spend ur time only..
