IT Executive? I applied once and got offered 3 years ago, but I rejected it tongue.gif because from what I read in the vacancy, it stated the location was Wisma Genting. I simply had intention to move to GH.

The salary was quite good. The offer I got was RM1900 + meal allowance RM900 (I was with one year experience then) and I would be allocated in a hostel of a room shared by two staffs (including me), not bad I would say.

I have plenty of friends working there and they all told me it was a very good offer and told me that I was silly to reject it. If you ask me, I will say, it depends on what other offers do you have besides working in GH? If you have no confidence to get a better job, just grab it and work to gain experience, maybe a year or two until you get really bored (it's really very boring up there), then you can move on to another companies.

~ just my 2 cents

Hey Kim Hoong, thanks for the advice and your comments i would say that its true that if there is no other jobs ,maybe grabbing this one would be an advantage for starting but maybe also for the long runs..

from what i see that since you have alot of friends working there? what actually made you reject the offer? was it just because can be bored up there? ? or otherwise?

For my case, I rejected the offer because I thought I could get a better ones (and obviously I couldn't doh.gif) and because I had just started a relationship then (until now biggrin.gif)

I do feel I had wasted the chance going there but things are lost and gained throughout our life, so I'm still living happily even with only decent work and pay biggrin.gif

only there for 3months holiday job.
it depends on whom u r staying with , triple sharing or double....
some seniors stay long enuf they donwan u to interupt their living, i even heard a newbie kena sapu out by a senior lady staff , really sapu out...

i had met the ocupational counsellor there during one of our uni activity, he told us , u can c thousands type of ppl working there, some kaki perempuan, some 1nite stand, some commit suiside, some fight in staff cafe ( personally saw it ), some fight in lobby of the quarters...

if u hate ppl smoking, then pray to god ur roommate don smoke....

money is good there ( legally or illegally ), just be urself n don get influenced by ppl coz a lot of youngsters ( SPM leaver...) pick up things quite easily n fast....

don trust ppl too easily , i m lucky i stayed with a PS (pit supervisor) who has normal life , but my the other roommate ( new as me) kena fired bcoz had fight with another guy after his gf kena pikat....

u ask ppl who work there , they can tell u thousands of ridiculous stories....not to mention crimes yet....not to scare u oso la....

well to be honest since the benefits are pretty excellent and some more dont really use much money over there i thought i mind be able to save some money over there.. and well i applied for the IT post since i'm in the field now hehehe.. might as well stick to it.. well if there are other options i won't mind skipping it but then again some people say its a waste if i dont go and some say should skip so i'm still trying to make a wise decision before anything happens
