I am 4.5 months pregnant and looking to deliver at either Putrajaya or Sungai Buloh Hospital under the FPP scheme. I would like to receive some feedback from anyone who has experienced going through delivery at either of these two hospitals under the FPP scheme. Specifically, I would like to know:
- Who are the recommended doctors in Putrajaya and Sungai Buloh hospitals? my wife chose Dr Azmi. either natural or csec depends on your condition.
- Having paid for FPP, were you given the first class ward? (single bed room) single bed room availability is very limited. and of course price is absolutely different.
- Did you go through labour and delivery in a private room or a shared room? cant comment, my wife only able to tell
- Was the husband allowed to be with you throughout labour and delivery? nope, i asked Dr Azmi and i had to wait at waiting room
- Were you given an epidural? (I understand that delivering on weekends will mean no epidural).
- What was the treatment like from the supporting staff i.e. nurses, midwives, and medical officers? so far so good, but don expect like private hospital that they will help you to feed your baby or change diapers... all you need to do yourself.
Sorry for the detailed questions, but it will help me in deciding on which hospital to choose for my delivery. This is my first child and I hope that the delivery will be as smooth as possible. Thank you everyone in advance for your feedback, much appreciated!
