I am 4.5 months pregnant and looking to deliver at either Putrajaya or Sungai Buloh Hospital under the FPP scheme. I would like to receive some feedback from anyone who has experienced going through delivery at either of these two hospitals under the FPP scheme. Specifically, I would like to know:

- Who are the recommended doctors in Putrajaya and Sungai Buloh hospitals?
- Having paid for FPP, were you given the first class ward? (single bed room)
- Did you go through labour and delivery in a private room or a shared room?
- Was the husband allowed to be with you throughout labour and delivery?
- Were you given an epidural? (I understand that delivering on weekends will mean no epidural).
- What was the treatment like from the supporting staff i.e. nurses, midwives, and medical officers?

Sorry for the detailed questions, but it will help me in deciding on which hospital to choose for my delivery. This is my first child and I hope that the delivery will be as smooth as possible. Thank you everyone in advance for your feedback, much appreciated!

1.Sometimes there are recommended doctors that you wanted to pick, but still it depends on your luck as "hot pick" docs are always packed with schedule. Fyi,previously me and my wife also wanted to pick the recc doc,but not available. We do on with another. Turns out the doc is good and very helpful to us. So,it depends.

2.For FPP,not all FPP will receive a single bed room. Subject to room availability.

3.Usually its private labour room.

4.Yes it does for semi private type hospital.

5.No epidural is given to my wife as she say not needed. Well i do agree coz usage of epidural have its negative side.

6.Usually the doc will do the delivery. if youre lucky, you will get another 2 trainee docs helping you along with 3 more nurses. Thats what we go thru last time.

Other than Putrajaya or Sg Buloh, there are other hospitals that offers FPP too. You can find out on the web or if you want you can ask me.

Good luck.
