I've been informed that all private hospitals will charge double/extra. That's why I need backup plan and seriously considering govt hospital FPP now.

Does FPP package, nurse will take care of the baby until discharge ?

As far as I read the blogs, no. BB will stay in your room until you discharge, unless bb needs extra care - jaundice or NICU matter.

What's a FPP?

If I don't take the pink book, is that still ok? Because I'm planning after born baby, then straight go to confinement centre for 1 month.

I have two recommendation to putrajaya hospital. Apparently two of them have good reviews. And they were also recommended by their friends. Normal delivery alone is RM600++ include 1 night stay.

Did the routine check up at private clinic RM100++ per check up at Puchong (I forgot where). The blood test from private clinic is priced from RM600++ to RM1k++

To me, go to a hospital nearer to your house is priority.

FPP is Full Paying Patient scheme, means you go to govt hospital but get to choose your own gynae and get delivered by them, not by the midwives. Also you get to choose the type of room with different charges just like private.

You will need a pink book, because the gynae there will start seeing you from Week 30 onwards. If I am not mistaken, they will jot down your condition in there. But if you haven't have a pink book, I think the hospital will arrange for you when you visit the first time, just wasting a bit more time on that.

You mentioned you have two recommendations for Putrajaya Hospital, so I assume you are going for FPP too? Have you booked the EDD slot with them?

In FPP, after birth, is there a pediatrician that will come and check the baby? And will they use the blood from the cord to test for issue on the spot?

Would like to bring this thread back up for more recent info.. Am considering for FPP Sg Buloh as i heard Selayang not as good now, while Putrajaya is way too far in the south.. Anyone mind sharing your experiences?

Trying to consider going for FPP or Tung Shin Hospital as some said the price also not so high.. Appreciate anyone who could give more info.. If i want to know more, is there a service in the Sg Buloh hospital where i can just drop by and ask my questions to any consultant there or can only call them?

What do you wish to know more? I called Sg Buloh before for information but in the end went for Putrajaya because less traffic jam from my place. I remember the pricing are the same or about the same for all hospitals offering FPP.

You can just call to find out more. I remember the pricing are same for Sg Buloh and Putrajaya, although putrajaya did put out a new price list somewhere around Dec18/Jan19.

I remember:
c section - 1K
operation room/labour room charges - RM250 per hour
normal birth - I think it's RM600

Actually for FPP, the most expensive part is the room charges. RM300 for executive room regardless they give you single or double room. Other types of room, husband is not allowed to stay.
