i can't remember which firmware i updated, it's only stated 1.1.1 Build 20170706 rel.65715 (EU).
how long does a firmware update take? i tried a few firmware all like not moving the status. i'm using it for 5g_wds but even though it stated no internet, but i can use the wireless without issue. |

QUOTE(JohnLai @ Sep 21 2018, 11:13 AM) The latest stable version of EU firmware is 1.1.3 Build 20180124 rel.52299 (EU). Firmware update normally takes 5 minutes total. should i update to the latest stable version or just stick to my old version? For the WDS part, TP-Link web interface will display 'no internet' status, however the wireless repeater function work just fine with client device at receiving end can online normally. Note, NTP also doesn't work in WDS mode. Can't do much due to incomplete WDS functionality. It is 'hidden' for a reason. where should i download it? can't remember where i download it previously. |

QUOTE(JohnLai @ Sep 21 2018, 11:31 AM) https://static.tp-link.com/2018/201801/2018...)_V1_180124.zip thanks, will try it tonight.Changelog sinceĀ your 1.1.1 Build 20170706 rel.65715 (EU): Update lor.....less random restart issue, probably once every 3 weeks. Faster bootup as well. Edit: updated firmware, so far so good, feels smoother, placebo much? This post has been edited by fkinmeng: Sep 21 2018, 08:55 PM |

I changed the dns to cloudflare dns in the router, but when i check at 1.1.1.1/help it says I'm not connected to 1.1.1.1, means it fails?

QUOTE(JohnLai @ Dec 22 2019, 11:24 PM) Perhaps you have setup static DNS at your device? Or ipconfig /flushdns is required? Is the Connectivity to Resolver IP Addresses section displaying 'yes' on 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.01? EDIT: Are you using any form of proxy server on your web browsers? Which browser? Chrome or Firefox? using firefox. definitely did not setup static DNS, don't even know how. |
