Hi guys there is a firmware update available for this router from Unifi. Just called the customer service on Wednesday and they told me there's an update available which is the 20201103 version. Previously it was on 20200306. Just got this router from Unifi in December 2020. After the latest firmware upgrade, it has been 3 days now and there's no random reboot happen. Hope this info will help you guys
I did some further tests. Windows 11 Pc can connect but takes a while to connect and getting internet access takes like 30 seconds. No such issue on the 5G network. For IOS and Android , cant connect at all
Now using Archer C1200(EU)_V1_1.1.4 Build 20220517 so far so good.

I tried to flash from stock TM firmware to EU build 20220517 firmware. now stuck at 3% for half an hour. I don't think this is normal. do you encounter the same thing? how long does it take to flash?
Should be less than 5 minutes, but connected internet less than 10 minutes.
Previously I flashed the firmware, but didn’t check my of router password, so TM technician came by. I didn’t use the Chrome Inspector to open the developer tools. He said why your actual login interface looks different. I acted blurted only & no extra charges on next bill.
manage to enter recovery mode. I flash stock MY firmware, dated 23-8-2021. failed at 40 percent. flash again with EU firmware, dated 180124. flash success.
I have a look at the WDS mode on the C1200. after scan, I see WEP security for the scanned wifi access points. is WDS limited to WEP? isn't WEP too old and not secured? not safe to use in this modern world? I have an old ASUS 802.11n router (used in old school streamyx era) that also support WDS, but I'm not using it because I see WEP. I'm surprised the much modern TPLink also use WEP.
Yeah, literally WDS is limited to WEP & also WEP is insecure encryption. WPA/2/3 indeed provides better security.
if I buy a modern router with ranger extender mode (example Tenda AC6, TPLink Archer C54), it is not using WEP for the connection to host router. right?
This part I’m not sure, but in the WDS Bridging section have WPA selection. While the extender follows your main router connection. I strongly suggest using the same brand TP Link repeater.
