Every Chelsea striker has to face their personal demon. In this case currently, Morata is facing this issue with his feets rather than head. This is not easy but like he said previously, there's only one solution, work hard!

This is an awkward interview. Bellerin seems can't take any jokes from Hazard. |

Ross Barkley?
![]() I have doubts with this lad although it's only around £15m. Is this a Conte choice or the club? I hope he's not going to be a Steve Sidwell-esque signing if it happens....... This post has been edited by jovigrunge: Jan 5 2018, 02:46 PM |

QUOTE(zoidx_chung @ Jan 5 2018, 07:05 PM) Ross Barkley, Everton fan. - Final day of Summer window: Pulls out of medical, after £35m deal agreed with Chelsea. - Plays 0 mins of football for Everton. - Five days into Winter window: Goes for medical at Chelsea, deal worth £15m. Costing his boyhood club £20m. Ross Barkley has saved Chelsea £20m by making a move now rather than last summer...... poor Everton! |

QUOTE(yokoloco @ Jan 5 2018, 07:59 PM) personally i would prefer this Barkley move over Vidal. LWB? If Chelsea wants to save money, just get back Baba Rahman and improve/develop him or Schalke will re-loan him back. I heard Everton or Monaco might be interested as well.cheaper, HG and could stay at CFC very long Vidal getting old even tho he is world class. now for LWB and 2nd striker. inb4 andy carroll Other choices of LWBs ![]() Alex Sandro - 26 years old (Juventus) ![]() Danny Rose - 27 years old (Tottenham Hotspurs) Alex Telles - 25 years old (FC Porto) ![]() Luke Shaw - 22 years old (Manchester United) ![]() Layvin Kurzawa - 25 years old (PSG) Your choice? |

It's coming out that Ross Barkley had a medical at Chelsea last night and the move will be confirmed later today.
13.40 GMT: There is no confirmation that Ross Barkley has joined Chelsea from Everton as yet, but ESPN FC's Chelsea correspondent Liam Twomey notes: Conte says only Chelsea can confirm a transfer, but he's certainly talking as if he considers Barkley a part of his squad #cfc This post has been edited by jovigrunge: Jan 5 2018, 09:59 PM |

Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia said Barkley was "a player we have long admired, and are certain he will prove to be an important player for Chelsea."
QUOTE She added: "He possesses outstanding technical and physical attributes, matched with good experience of the Premier League and a strong desire to succeed at the highest level. "We welcome him to the club and look forward to seeing him in action." Clearly it was Maria or the club's choice not Conte. |

LIVERPOOL mayor Joe Anderson has called on the Premier League and Football Association to investigate Ross Barkley’s move from Everton to Chelsea.
Barkley today completed a £15m move to Chelsea, putting pen to paper on a five-and-a-half year deal at the Premier League champions. QUOTE Everton agreed a £35m deal with Chelsea back in the summer but the move collapsed on deadline day, effectively costing the Toffees £20m. And Anderson wants the FA to investigate his agent’s role in the deal. The Liverpool mayor also believes Barkley would command a fee of £50m in today’s market if he wasn’t out of contract in the summer. Anderson posted in a series of tweets: “I will be writing to @premierleague & @FA calling for investigation into the circumstances around the transfer of Ross Barkley between Everton and Chelsea. “Agent pulls transfer on deadline day of £35m, [he] doesn’t play again, transfer 4 months later [for] £20m [less]. “Everyone knows Barkley is worth at least £50m in today’s market, don’t mind him going but Club and fans being ripped off. “Both [Romelu] Lukaku and [John] Stones not homegrown talent left Everton and we got a great price, Barkley home grown player has left and has cost EFC £20m at least. “There is no defence for me of him, he could have signed a longer contract and still left the club.” |

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger BANNED for three matches after referee comments
The Gunners boss has also been fined £40,000 for his behaviour, the FA has announced. In a separate case, Wenger has also been asked to provide his observations on what he said about penalty decisions which went against Arsenal in both their matches over the festive period. A statement from the FA read: "Arsene Wenger will serve a touchline ban for Arsenal's next three matches after he was charged with misconduct. QUOTE "It follows an Independent Regulatory Commission hearing today at which the Arsenal manager admitted that his language and behaviour in the match officials' changing room after the West Brom game on Sunday was abusive, improper and questioned the integrity of the match referee. He was also fined £40,000." Referee Mike Dean awarded West Brom a late penalty for what he adjudged to be a handball by Calum Chambers. But Wenger didn't agree and criticised the official following the match. The Arsenal manager will now have to watch on from the stands as the Gunners travel to Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup, Chelsea in the Carabao Cup and Bournemouth in the Premier League. In a press conference earlier this week Wenger said some referees were in the dark ages. "This is the 1950s, where the guy talks to him: 'If you're not nice, I might punish you.' Come on, let's not waste time," he explained. "What does it help for the game? Nothing. Nothing happens. People want crisp, sharp action, and the referee has to make sure that that happens. "They want to see: 'Come on, let's get on with it and play.' That's our responsibility. We don't live in the dark ages." |

Conte’s transfer order
09:30: Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has reportedly ordered the club to sign a new central defender, a left-back and a striker. Chelsea have already signed Ross Barkley from Everton this month. And The Times say Conte has given director Marina Granovskaia a list of targets he wants. |

Chelsea fans disown Jose Mourinho after Manchester United boss’ ‘match-fixing’ jibe at Antonio Conte
Chelsea fans washed their hands of Jose Mourinho last night after the Manchester United boss took his war of words with Antonio Conte ‘too far’. Tension between the two managers has been raised to boiling point this week when Mourinho kicked things off by taking a pop at ‘clownish’ behaviour on the sidelines. Conte perceived this to be a dig at his actions on the touchline and accused Mourinho of having ‘senile dementia’ by forgetting his long history of exuberant celebrations. However, the self-proclaimed Special One took the feud to a whole new level on Friday night when he said he would ‘never be suspending for match-fixing’. Conte was suspended for four months for failing to report match fixing during his time at Siena but he was later cleared of wrongdoing. Chelsea fans have largely stuck by Mourinho since his second departure from the club in December 2015 but his jibe at Conte was a step too far for many supporters, who are now trying to disown their former boss…. |

Eden Hazard rejects second Chelsea contract offer amid Real Madrid transfer speculation
Chelsea fear Eden Hazard‘s head has been turned by Real Madrid after the Belgian rejected a second contract proposal from the club. The Belgian’s current deal runs until 2020 but Chelsea want to hand him a longer contract on improved terms. Chelsea’s first offer to Hazard would have made him the highest paid player in the club’s history but the Belgian turned it down and French publication RMC are reporting that he’s rejected a second offer. Hazard is aware of interest from Real Madrid and is likely to wait until the end of the season to see if Zinedine Zidane will get the go-ahead to sign the Chelsea winger. RMC claim Madrid have upped their contact with Hazard in recent weeks and Conte is said to be furious that Hazard has turned down the offer. Hazard teased Chelsea fans earlier this week by saying he’d sign a new deal when Thibaut Courtois committed his future to the club but it looks unlikely that the matter will be resolved before the end of the season. Should Madrid move for Hazard this summer then Gareth Bale is likely to become available as the La Liga giants look to balance the books. |
