Antonio Conte is keen to add long-term Arsenal target Jean-Michael Seri to his ranks in this month after growing impatient with Tiemoue Bakayoko’s poor form. The Chelsea coach is a big fan of the dynamic Nice midfielder, who was close to joining Barcelona in the summer, as he looks to strengthen his options in the centre of the park. Bakayoko’s struggles since a £40million move from Monaco have been well documented and Conte is already planning on replacing him, according to the Sun.

The Blues are not alone in their pursuit of Seri, who has a £35m buyout clause, with Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain hot on his heels. It’s thought the 26-year-old favours a move to England and the Ivory Coast star may end up at Stamford Bridge. Conte has already added Ross Barkley to his midfield in January, but he’s still determined for extra strength in depth and views Seri as a direct replacement for the under-performing Bakayoko.

But Chelsea only have themselves to blame.’ Speaking after Chelsea’s tense penalty shootout win, Hazard told BBC: ‘I think today – with the extra-time and penalties – was not easy. ‘We got two red cards, that’s the bad thing for today. We need to be ready for Brighton on Saturday and the Premier League.’

Bakayoko is good for time wasting strategy considering his shooting all were rubbish. We need him for time wasting purpose.

Meanwhile, the Daily Star says Luis Enrique will replace Antonio Conte at Chelsea in the summer.

The Spaniard will be joined at Stamford Bridge by former Blues defender Juliano Belletti, who is set to take a director of football role at the club.

Conte and Chelsea clash over ‘two particular signings.

The ‘unusual figure’ of Carlo Cudicini is acting as intermediary as Antonio Conte continues to clash with the Chelsea board.

Conte’s relationship with certain Chelsea executives – namely club director Marina Granovskaia – has become stretched.

The well-connected Matt Hughes of The Times reports that Conte’s constant complaints over transfers at Stamford Bridge has left many of his relationship with club executives ‘increasingly fractious’.

Conte and Granovskaia are the two most ‘at odds’ with one another, with the pair often having to ‘resort to communicating’ through Cudicini, one of Conte’s coaches.

The manager is ‘particularly unhappy’ with the way Granovskaia, one of owner Roman Abramovich’s most-trusted aides, handled two particular transfer negotiations.

Conte is thought to have identified Leonardo Bonucci and Fernando Llorente as his main targets last summer, but neither were delivered.

Former technical director Michael Emenalo previously acted as ‘a buffer’ between the two, but that role now belongs to Cudicini. The former keeper is an ‘unusual figure’ at Stamford Bridge, Hughes writes, because ‘he is almost universally popular’. Which essentially means everyone else is at least a bit of a d*ck.

Hughes finishes by saying that Chelsea ‘are growing weary of Conte’s complaints’. ‘While Tiémoué Bakayoko, Danny Drinkwater and Ross Barkley were club signings, it was Conte who pushed them to buy Álvaro Morata and Davide Zappacosta last summer.’
