how to differentiate then from outside the box?

well, paint and sculpting detail, packaging color detail
and, well, to be safe, buy from a reputable shop (deja vu...seem like i said this many times liao )
research to see if got bootlegs exist, if got, be extra careful

and.....when in doubt, ask here

its not easy to spot bootleg/fake..but if it too cheap..then be careful already..

shop that known to be selling fake stuff is fantasy toys and also grafitti..
but they are selling fake stuff with a fake price..meaning cheap..then that is ok..the one scared one is those shop that sell fake stuff original pricing..that one you go back home cry out blood one..

want to be sure original..then its either from online hobby search or hlj..or locally from xl or that bloody dc..time machine also most of the time are original stuff..

the same goes to shiok toys and also unltimate toys..all these shops only bring original stuff

be careful with fantasy if you never know..they do sell fake pvc..especially their black bending kasumi..lol

yup.. those shops are known to sell bootleg.. (swear to God and hope to xxx)...

if u see that there are many boxes of the same item... (e.g. Saber Black Ver by Alter)... check each and every box..(like i did)... cos it is for sale at RM50 lesser than market price... so i was a bit sceptical... so i checked all their 23 boxes... all got defect one... it's a matter of more or lesser defects...

but sometimes, for the fun of it, i will also buy bootleg items if the defects are not obvious (sometimes, NO defects).... but the price cannot be more than RM20 per unit... hahaha

I guess because since PA is located in Kong Kong..its nearer than other shops

For me..I always inform them to wrap my items properly for every order..and since your box is dented..you can make a complaint to them and they might offer you a USD5 coupon.

And next time they will try to be more careful with your items ^^

And try using other shipping methods..they are worthy. If you use their coupon..its like you're just paying about USD10 for shipping..which is less than RM40 and you get your items faster..no customs..not so much damage (there will be a little but not as teruk as yours ><)

I'm from Penang and since the customs for couriers are located at Penang Airport, I usually get my items the NEXT DAY around 1 - 2pm

i can confirm they got sell fake, some like FF7 figure they put there it's fake while most other pvc figures they nvr put, hmm i got a guyver figure from there sometime ago, but nvr did check whether it's fake or not haha

hmm they do that when we complain, that's good, coz i was quite sad that my Alter Fate box got dented. and they nvr seem to wrap the item, they just put it in the shipping box with polystrene. the next time i order from them i'll be sure to remember to ask them to wrap it properly

actually those white polystrene do nothing one..it didnt hold your stuff inside..it didnt protect your stuff..they dont even put it enough and your stuff still can moce around inside..totally useless..lol

i feel that using shreded paper works better
not too hard like newspaper, compressible, yet can cushion and not make it move too much
maybe should bubble wrap the item just in case
