QUOTE(klchan @ Sep 2 2018, 11:14 AM) Brand : Doesn't have a specific one (But ASUS aftersales warrenty seems quite bad to me) Budget : ~RM4000 (Cheaper the better ofcoz ) Screen Size : 15" (Because wanted the numpad) HDD : SSD is a must (Once tried it cant live without it) Graphic : Occasionally play games from steam library. Seems like too much options these days, too much data for me to digest What's your usage? Only games? Preferred max weight and minimum battery life?

I am curious, are there any benefits in getting a notebook with screen 17-inch instead of a 15-inch for the same model? Of course, the display is bigger and better for the eyes, but since the resolution stays the same, will the objects look less smooth? How about the battery life? I am sure the notebook would be a bit heavier and you need a bigger backpack (which is not commonly sold in the market compared to the usual 15/16inch backpack right?)
I am getting a widescreen desktop monitor (>30inch) separately anyway, which I will use at home. But when I am on the go, I am not sure if a bigger screen of 17 inch will make much difference.
I am tempted to get the bigger screen for the notebook because it also comes with additional 128Gb SSD (in other words, the 17 inch model has 256Gb vs the 15 inch model with 128Gb). The price difference is about RM500.

QUOTE(ZM Fong @ Sep 2 2018, 08:22 PM) What's your usage? Only games? Preferred max weight and minimum battery life? weight and battery doesn't really matter much, but who doesn't want light weight and long battery life wor. usage ah, a little bit of everything? I m sure most of the laptop now can fit my usage.... just too much model to filter it out.

Hi fellow sifu. Been so long since my last post here. I need a laptop for editing and printing purposes. So my requirement is sRGB 100% and aRGB at least 90%. Is there any laptop out there that has dedicated GPU and has an accurate screen like this? Afaik only MBP 15, XPS 15 and Zenbook Pro met my requirement. Is there any other laptops that can perform the same? I am open to refurbished laptops such as Dell Precision too. Kindly advice

QUOTE(myway1985 @ Sep 3 2018, 12:22 PM) budget brp la...later come xeon, 1tb ssd, 32gb , those u no budget 7-8k? Tbh I don't think I need quadro la. Since it is optimized for CAD and not photo/video rendering. GTX card still prefered. But good screen still priority.
