Hello everyone ^^, I need some help in choosing the right laptop for me.

I actually have some laptop in mind.. But im gonna put the preference 1st.

2. Budget : RM3.5k and below
3. Screen Size : dont mind
4. Main preference : Just need something robust and easily disassembled for cleaning and what not. Also good cooling.
5. Usage: Gaming, video edits, 3d modelling

I ran across these while searching.

1. http://www.techhypermart.com/notebooks/del...x1050-w10h.html

2. http://www.techhypermart.com/notebooks/hp-...x1050-w10h.html

3. http://www.techhypermart.com/notebooks/msi...x1050-w10h.html

Im favoring the MSI rn cuz price but im not sure if the built is good enuf. If yall have other options it can be considered too.

1. Preferred brand : No preference
2. Budget : RM2k
3. Screen Size : 13" - 14"
4. Main preference : Weight less than 2kg
5. Usage: Work and Travel, Use moderately on Microsoft Excel and Words.

I am not sure is there any laptop with requirement as above.

Note : Currently using Asus TP200S (bought 2 years ago) and its very laggy. We have a few units. All the users complaint it is very slow. 1 unit goes blue screen almost everyday. 1 more always has problem with Microsoft office. Sent to warranty, but problem still persist sad.gif

I am expecting to have a budget of at least 3k, so I can opt for this, but I need to justify why I am buying a laptop more than 2k sad.gif

I just bought this guy so, I heartily recommend it.

-Lenovo 720S with ryzen 2500u = RM3299

It's only got 4GB RAM, but don't worry. With a fast 256GB pcie ssd, this won't be a problem. The chugging only happens if you're using 5400rpm hdd.

Amazing performance for a casual gamer!

This little baby can play overwatch at 40 fps at 1080p (render scale 50%, low settings of course). It will definitely eat those three games up if you play them at 720p.

The weight us 1.2kg, light as a feather. You can also charge and game on it with a powerbank only (I'm using Anker 10000 watt powerbank).

You can't believe how useful the ability to game and do heavy work while charging from a powerbank really is. Reminds me of the Nintendo Switch. Playing overwatch at work could never be easier.

Not that I recommend it (you could get fired), so please, exercise caution and common sense.

And the screen is fantastic!

I highly recommend that you at least check it out.

Else there's....

-HP envy with 8250u and MX150 2GB = RM4799

Better performance. But you can't use a powerbank to charge and play it.

would u open a dedicated post n snap us some on site picture... the ryzen 2nd gen pc processor is quite disappointing in term of performance (price wise imba).. so i believe most of us r hoping the laptop version will redeem the ryzen pride..

1. Preferred brand: any brand that either offering onsite warranty or at least having authorized service centre / collection point in Sarawak.
2. Budget: Preferably below RM2000, maximum RM2xxx.
3. Usage: Watching movies (4K), web browsing, use Microsoft office.
4. Screen size: any
5. Type: 2 in 1 detachable laptop.
6. Minimum CPU: At least an Intel core M3.
7: RAM: Minimum 4GB.
8: HDD: Either a SSD or minimum a flash storage with minimum 128GB. 256GB preferred
9. Other features: Support charging over USB type c port. Has USB 3.0 ports to connect external HDD.

I want to replace both my old Ipad and old laptop. Instead of buying a laptop and a tablet separately, I considering getting a 2 in 1 detachable laptop.

I am not playing any games.

Is it possible to find a 2 in 1 detachable laptop that meets my requirement while the price is within my budget?

Been asked to geta quote on my own, even though I'm at work.

1: Preferred Brand - any except Mac
2: Budget - 4.3k
3. Screen Size - 15.6", but not the priority
4. Main preference - Ultrabooks because I want it light. Win10Pro. SSD. 8GB RAM.
5. Usage - Work. It's word processing mostly so nothing too fancy.

by the looks of it most brands of ultrabooks tend towards the ranges of like 5k onwards for large screen sizes, whether it's the XPS, zenbook, envy, etc... pricelists in lowyat aren't too varied with their models.

Doing this before I spend like half a day walkin around the Digital Mall soon. Thanks guys!
