Greetings all , since luno is down currently ,
I want to know whether anyone here has experience using Coinbase with singaporean bank for trading ?
Without residing/working in singapore or having singapore telephone.
We have plenty of relatives and friends in singapore but it would be a hassle to bug them for multiple transactions.
Thanks
Edit : Any advise on opening singapore bank account if I am not working in sg or have anything to do there . iSavvy Maybank looks viable.

To open Singapore coinbase account your internet connection needs to be located in SG (i.e. physically in SG or through VPN). If not your location will be permanently set to MY and you can’t do anything. I want to know whether anyone here has experience using Coinbase with singaporean bank for trading ?

If you want to do bank deposits (assuming you have SG bank acct) coinbase uses a payment intermediate called Xfers. If you deposit large amounts you need to do KYC with xfers as well. Plus coinbase also needs sg ID to do verification before you can buy as well. Plus side is bank deposits have lower fees of 1.49%.
Also coinbase needs a phone number to send OTP. I doubt they will accept MY phone numbers if it’s a SG acct.
Hope that helps.
