Luno's bank account was frozen by Maybank/Bank Negara. You can't deposit or do withdrawals on Luno with MYR.

From my knowledge, we can open up an account with Maybank Singapore if you're an existing Maybank Malaysia holder.
Then from Maybank SG should be able to link up with coinbase.
Downside...all is in SGD 🙄

Yes the withdrawal and deposit issue still persist. I found 2 other alternatives, Xbit and Localbitcoins.

Not sure about the quality though. So far Luno is working wonder for me.

Dont know a solution to your query but coinbase limit very low only.. can buy 200 usd weekly only .. or maybe i dont know how to increase the limit ..

Plus opening a bank acct in singapore requires a lot of KYC and not as easy as before.. for non residents

I suggest you check the 'open Singapore account' procedure properly. Not so easy I think.

To open Singapore coinbase account your internet connection needs to be located in SG (i.e. physically in SG or through VPN). If not your location will be permanently set to MY and you can’t do anything.

If you want to do bank deposits (assuming you have SG bank acct) coinbase uses a payment intermediate called Xfers. If you deposit large amounts you need to do KYC with xfers as well. Plus coinbase also needs sg ID to do verification before you can buy as well. Plus side is bank deposits have lower fees of 1.49%.

Also coinbase needs a phone number to send OTP. I doubt they will accept MY phone numbers if it’s a SG acct.

Hope that helps.

I just used my gf to register coinbase sg, and the xfer service is down, only can use debit card/credit card to purchase (3.4% fees). Besides, after purchase first sgd 100 worth of btc. My limits isn't upgraded yet.
