Ar... that is possible... 1st 500 units only.

Jitter... u mean using the tv player v with usb?

If yes, no surprise... the player probably same as ue630x... not so good.

Tested using my own 4k video through USB. Picture quality is good but not really for very fast motion.

this model is known as LC-60UA6800T in Taiwan and LC-60S50H in HK. most likely different naming in other region. for those who can read chinese may refer to the links below for some initial impression. it was compared to x850e, however no proper review based on PQ.

PQ looks better than x70e to my eye.

Hey guys,

After using the tv for a week, I noticed when playing youtube videos, every now and then the video pauses for a spilt second but not the sound. Like it skipped a frame. Any idea why? It even happens when I am watching movies through hypptv but have not noticed it when I playback through my android box.

Try the step near the end of this video, by enabling developer settings etc.. Reason for mine is not network speed but Android tv or the tv hardware not fast enough to process 4k media. Tested on Netflix and USB playback

frame drop/jittery of USB playback disappeared right after changing the background process limit, buttery smooth. might not be top notch but more than enough for the uhd 4k video i tested. only problem is android tv will change this setting back to standard after powering off the tv.

Wah......rugi some more....haih. Bought at much higher price at Senheng.
not too bad considering that you get the smart home starter kit (11street selling 1k+) and keyboard/mouse set for free.

Sharp is very evasive and secretive in providing product details. Plus the fact that there are no proper reviews to be found (in part due to the model numbering) makes it very difficult to understand what we are getting.
Its best to assume the worst and make a decision whether its worth it for you.
Panel native refresh rate: 50/60hz
WCG: Assume not available since there is nothing indicating DCI P3 & REC.2020 coverage
Panel colour depth: 8 bits with minimal HDR
Brightness: 300 - 350 nits (not a good HDR tv)

Yes 8bit panels can also support HDR. And there are also 10bit panels that are rubbish for HDR. So its not a sure thing that 10bits will give you good HDR because colour palette coverage, tone mapping, brightness, etc are important too.
Sometimes 8bits + FRC is already good enough if done properly.

All that being said, I liked what I saw for both the 6800X & 6500X and I think its very decent for the (promo) price + extended warranty. Its well worth it if one is not very fussy about what they are getting.

it's a 8bit UV2A panel, with 10bit color processing technology (based on taiwan online store description).

being said that, 8bit 60hz panel with around 300nits brightness is normal for tv around this price range. even sony x8000e that cost higher carry the same spec. only different is sony or other brand carry motion enhancer technology (eg. Motionflow but native is still 60hz), this piece of info is missing on this sharp.

Thanks for the reply guys. Yea i do notice a lot of brands use the terms support for HDR. But are they using 8 bit panel or 10 bit panel is another question. I find it difficult to differenciate base on the model number which is the entry, mid and higher range for sharp 4k tv range. I am hoping that it has a low input lag for gaming as well.

The tv is currently on sale on 11street for rm2767 for LC50UA6800X model which i feel is quite good.

the 50 inch is using a different panel, no information other than it's not made in japan

Kodi works on mine, only that I don't use external drive. All my medias are on Synology server and have Plex Server installed. Plex server can direct stream dts just fine, only plex app has a bug that won't play media with dts/dd. This is where the plugin comes in where it neatly configured Kodi with Plex library, meta etc and able to direct play dts movie.
*
i don't think LC60UA6800X support dts output, only dd. so even kodi can read it, it will be decoded into dd for the audio output right?

That's what I thought... But the guy at the shop told me it's made by Hisense... Foxconn is just the owner/parent company and they don't make the Sharp TVs... US is Hisense for sure and in Europe is UMC both licensed by Sharp... TBH I saw the picture quality of Hisense and the design and build quality was very similar to the Sharp so there is a very high possibility the also make it for the there Asian market too
*
panel of the 60' is made in japan, same one from previous sharp tv, nothing to do with hisense. but this apply only to 60', not 50' and below.

surprised that you see huge differences between this and sony/lg. did the same test in the shop with my own 4k source, couldn't see any clear winner.

*
Can, tv hdmi 2 port to the sound bar hdmi out (arc) with a hdmi cable. Change tv audio output to dolby to get surround output.
