i am so late to notice this topic. i just bought from harvey norman for LC60UA6500X.
RM45xx, Then add on RM6xx for extended 3 years warranty.
with further discount somemore, the end price i am paying was below Rm5100.
Free a Sharp Apple design Rice cooker.
and PWP rm30 for Belkin 4 socket plug (worth RM99)

BTW, the total price i mentioned is included the RM30 for plug ady.

for those asking about the comparisons between LC60UA6500X (NON ANDROID VERSION) and LC60UE630X, I decided to buy after using the same 4k source to play side by side. its clearly the color and texture had been improved compared 630x.

I do compared with panasonic & lg (forgot the model no) that within the same price range. its clearly sharp produce the color better, however, when i view the same video on SOny, sony had better in everything but with higher price tag.

Hi bro, I just bought a new LC60UA6500X. Just wondering does your tv come preloaded with Netflix? the specs mentioned from google says that there should be 3 apps preloaded in this model i.e. Netflix, Youtube and Web browser, but i cant seem to find the Netflix app in mine. Wondering if there's any luck at your side? Thanks

Unfortunately, there’s no Netflix app. And even going to Netflix on the browser, can’t play it over there. Sad case. Will have to look for a media player.

Also, can anyone tell me how to access game mode? The input lag on my Xbox One X is crazy. The 4K content looks delicioua though.

i had thought the ua6500x has netflix alto it's not androidtv like ua6800x.

but no... think it only has youtube and browser.
about netflix, take note that netflix certification is required for any device to be able to do HD, 4k, HDR or dolby vision.

old ue630x can do netflix 4k but not 4k HDR - this, ua6800x can, i believe.

standalone boxes - most CANNOT do netflix in HD/4k, only in SD.

certified TV's/devices that can do netflix HD/4K:

Thanks for the replies, guys! Yea, a big disappointment. A supposedly smart tv with only youtube and web browser pfffffftttttt. Even my 5 years old sony smart TV has netflix that comes with it, although it's only Full HD. How do you guys watch 4k content? Can we use external HDD to store 4k movies and plug in directly via the USB slot? But i read that the USB slot is 2.0, im not sure if it can play a 50gb 4k movie.

I know the 6800X is androidtv while the 6500x is not, but i didnt expect the easy smart to be that basic. Even when i searched online some websites listed Netflix as yes under the specs column. Well, I guess different countries would have different specs of 6500X.

Ohh missed out a point. A certain company in Malaysia was having raya sales/employee's benefits and were offloading the LC60UA6500x and the 50" model for a very low price (approx RM1k discount from normal price in retails), but it was cash and carry. So yup, didnt get to test it beforehand. Well just have to live with it, maybe i will get the 4k chromecast or something (read that the 6800x model even has a built-in chomecast, damn....)

Anyway, thanks a lot for the info bro. appreciate that!

Guess we're in the same boat with that with that deal. Anyway, I share your sentiments on that Sony TV comment. I've upgraded from a 3 year old bravia and even that has netflix, youtube and more. Strange that they can't offer more apps. Anyway, I have to look for a media player AND a HDMI switch that supports HDR. My soundbar doesn't do HDR passthrough, sadly.

Also, sharing with people for 6500X, if you want to reduce input lag on consoles, besides turning off all features, you can try switching HDMI mode to Limited.

Lol same boat it is. Now we know why they are offloading this model at such low price; noone would choose 6500X model over 6800X for a mere rm300-400 difference in retails

Any luck to watch 4k movies via USB slot?
