Hello peeps,
After I bought my first "4K" smart tv - LG 49UJ630T + HDR, last year my hunger grows for more

Hence I saw a promotion on this very specific model sharp LC60ua6500X, after going through some pages, this specific model's price had really gone down? Why is that

Any problems arise? My current 49 incher couldn't satisfy me now, I want more

I went through the same experience (in fact I used to owned the same LG model and size too), except my LG was giving me problems on audio pass-through.

Consider the 6800x model, it has Android. 6500x won't satisfy you cause LG's WebOS is 1 of the best out there, if not the best. Even I'm using an Android TV, I do miss WebOS from time to time.  laugh.gif

I guess the audio problem pass through is that hissing annoying sound? I fixed it by turning it off few seconds and turning it on again.

How was the wow factor moving from 49 to a 60 inch? The quality of of the sharp models are the same?

Because my nvidia shield(for kodi stuffs) is otw, so I might not need the smart tv function biggrin.gif

if u r asking if 6500x is 100% same as 6800x except for the androidtv feature, the answer is not very obvious, at least not when u compare specs.

however, most people incl me who have viewed the 2 tvs side by side will say 6800x PQ is better.

likely due to overall better hardware and firmware used.

so, to get the best out of yr shieldtv, u do need to get a better tv as well as play better source material.

of course, if u r mostly streaming or playing back low grade sources, the tv will not matter much.

Indeed sources plays the most important role here,

Have you used it with blu-Ray 4k players for the tv? How's it like?

If we're talking sources here, because the other day I think I got spoilt already by my friend's oppo bluray 4k player when he brings over to my house, we watched how to train your dragon 2 - never knew there seemed to be details I missed! 4k hdr - even on my crappy LG.

when at that time and now still,
a 4k remux wannabe streaming sources over kodi 😂

Hence the reason I'm surveying new options here, collecting them AV stuffs bit by bit
